    Jude is unapologetically morally gray and Fel has his whole heart and soul (and he definitely has mine). Fel is feisty and enjoys challenging Jude while he helps her find her inner strength and confidence. The other characters in the book were so intriguing! Lies Like Love is Book 1 in the Twisted Roses series and I’m so excited to see where the next book takes us! In the meantime, I will be diving into Eva’s Enemy Muse series while I wait!!

    Fel and Jude have a complicated and tense history. But a connection I haven’t read about it awhile. The hate was there but so was the love.

    How they grew up was very similar, obviously since they ended up as step siblings for two years, but naturally they had feeling for each other before they were forced into sibling-hood, so for two years, it was a constant battle of wills for themselves to just not cross the line.

    But 11 years have passed since they have seen each other, and the pain that Fel has gone through since Jude left her, I understand her hatred. But when she finally got over her mind telling her he’s the enemy, the LOVE these two experienced, the obsession with each other. Just everything I needed, and wanted.

    *Also if I wasn’t happily married and Jude was real, he be my man. I don’t care about him being a “bad guy” he’s really really good where it matters.*

    Eva wrote this book so well, that it’s touched my soul in a area I didn’t know I needed. I could feel the anger, the hurt, the sadness, the love, the obsession, and all the other emotions so strongly. I can’t wait to read the other books about the other members of twisted roses studios.

I was honestly a bit disappointed with the secrets as it didn’t really make sense that he kept away from her and let her believe everything was his fault. There is a twist at the end that in hindsight you were like yeah I could see that coming, but still a twist. Ultimately, everyone Fel is related to ends up being evil, money hungry jerks. In the end, Jude and Fel come out on top and get married to live their HEA.

    Having had this recommended to me I thought I would read as I have never read anything by Eva Simmons before.
    I loved and hated in equal measure the way she keeps you in suspense about the underlying background story for our main MC’s. I only hated it because she was go good at keeping it a secret up until right into the third act. Oh man was that a good reveal.
    Jude you love instantly even though he’s meant to be the villain, you can tell from the get go his utter devotion to Fel even though he tries to convince the reader otherwise. I liked the dynamic amongst all the Twisted Roses members and am glad to see they have their own stories too.
