About the author

For years, Andrew spent day after day hidden in his man cave, scribbling stories and sketching the visions he saw in his mind’s eye.
These mysterious beings, these characters and monsters, they desired freedom. They wanted the world to know of them and to follow their adventures.
Because knowledge is power. Power to bring them into reality.
For years, Andrew struggled against the powers that be, desperate for these mystical tales to be unleashed into the world. But the publishing overlords refused.
Then, one day, Andrew said, “No More!”
He would find his own way of bringing them into the world.
Writing and creating furiously in the depths of his man cave at the behest of his fictional masters, the first of the Magi Saga books was born.
From that day forward, there was no going back.
His creation was released, and the world would never be the same again.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2018I enjoyed Amanda’s move toward more maturity in this book. It was nice to see her taking Liz under her wing and handing down the “next generation” of Magi. She grew a little emotionally, but not as much as the first book. Her love life is crap – which is ironic IMO for an ex-prostitute. There’s a lot more foreshadowing in this book.
Go Lizzy! I’m really rooting for this spunky side-kick. I’ll be pissed if you knock her off. She’s starting to come out of her shell, and is mostly aware of her limitations. She’s not learning as fast as Amanda did, but still seems to be a prodigy for a Magi.
Another great addition to the series. It definitely makes me want the next book. Keep them coming!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2018Story line and plot are actually very good. Its a different look at magick that is a nice change of pace. However, the proofreader sucks ass big time. The grammatical errors and poor word choices (such as "floor" instead of "ground" and "span" instead of "spun") detract from the flow of the story. Hire a better proofreader for future installments and I'll raise to 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2019This series keeps getting better!!
I really like the direction that Amanda is going both the story and her character development.
The fights and battles keep getting better. I like the versatility of the magic and combat methodology.
I also like the other hints and strings of plot the author put out there for us. Allowing for us to soak things in and try our hand at predicting the outcome.
Spoiler Alert:
The only issue I really had was how slow Liz's progression is. But that could just be my preference and a slight bias due to how quickly Amanda improved in her own abilities.
Looking forward to this next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 20192nd in series again little slow in the beginning but better. Will continue with series because want to see how it plays out before star magi.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2019Another very enjoyable read with a very fun set of characters, and a great main character who I think might have a few repressed desires LOL. One thing I miss from the first book are the drawings that were littered throughout. Looking forward to booking number three.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAmanda follows her dream to return to New York. What follows is full of action, magic and some self-doubt and some self-realization. It is really well written and kept me turning the pages. I will be buying the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI’m working my way through Amanda’s early adventures after her character appeared in Michael Anderle’s Kurtherian series. So as she’s featured in some upcoming Andersen books, I had to get her backstory. It does appear that the first few two books in the series, although interesting enough, needed a bit more editing work. The errors were often and distracting enough to the storyline that I had to take a couple of stars off.
I AM looking forward to reading the other books in hopes that editing is refined the further along I get.
Overall, the premise that magic is energy that can be tapped into by another species(?) instead of relying on ritualistic/religious origins is fascinating. Amanda’s character is blossoming into a leader and there are enough threads referencing a larger plot to move this new alternate universe along at a good pace.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAnother fun story. The character development was spot on plenty of action and drama and a well done plot line.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm enjoying this
Well book 2 certainly had its share of issues for Amanda, but those same issues where what helped her grow. Looking forward to the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amanda goes back to New York
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseGood second book in this series. Amanda goes back to New York. Nomad Lucian usually kills all Arcadian Magi but for some reason he just keeps telling Amanda to get out of town. Hmm. Amanda goes nuts in one part of this book and I totally agree with her. Next book please.

5.0 out of 5 stars New York!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe little tidbits at each chapter both help fill in details and also add to the confusing intrigue representative of Amanda’s mind as she continues learning about the hidden world of magic. There are some minor errors missed in proofreading, but not so bad as to interrupt the story. I’m enjoying the series and look forward to Magi Omen.

Continuation of book one finds the heroine and her motley crew returning to New York to battle a nasty group of nomads. An enjoyable read.
