- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2021I almost didn't read these books because of the negative reviews but I thought I would at least give them a try. I am so glad I did! They are very well written, contain very few errors and all but the last book contain 15 or 16 chapters which is often the length of other cozy mysteries. The last book was slightly shorter but was intense enough to make it feel longer.
The writing flows smoothly and beautifully. Why a few reviewers decided to bash these books seems strange. Either they have a personal vendetta against the author or had a bad day and decided this a good place to air their frustrations.
So, again, ignore the negative reviews and read this very enjoyable series.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2018Surprised to find this series was so much more than just cozy mysteries. You meet Margot a dream to own her own bakery. To Adam a detective, they are meeting thru murder scenes. To finally dating, and finding time to do so more often, he encourages her to find a baker, which brings in Dexter. Later she will bring in Julie a young mother, and eager to learn. The romance blossoms as the stories continues thru this series. Which gave a nice touch with them finding happiness and being surrounded by friends, when they got married. As for the murder in each, are very well done to try and figure out the why, and who did it. Delightful, intriguing of how they find the clues and why murder was done The story does continue thru the 12, and maybe more will be added.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2019I enjoyed the books in the series. They are fun, light, interesting, and engrossing. The love story parts are wholesome and sweet. The books are full of adventure, quaint towns, beautifully described scenery, endearing characters, twists, turns, excitement, and enough mention of delicious pastries to have caused a five pound weight gain. However, there are many errors: misspelled words, wrong tenses, incorrect words. Please try to fix this. The errors are disappointing, distracting, and give a very amateurish feel to the otherwise fun, satisfying stories. The 99 cent price for 12 Kindle books is a super bargain. I found that I did not want to leave the characters. Please eliminate the many errors. I look forward to reading more Cozy Mystery series.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2021There are tears in my eyes as I write this. I just finished these delightful stories with Margot and Adam. What lovely characters! What interesting, spellbinding stories! I want Bentley as my neighbor. I'd love to babysit for Julia's son, help Rosie clean bakery tables after the morning rush. Immerse myself in these people's lives. What a delightful to spend an afternoon, reading, laughing, gasping with suspense, crying with sadness and joy! Wonderful!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2024I could barely put this down!

Stepping into other's lives is fantastic.
And when love and friendship comes together it is overwhelming to say the least!!
I definitely recommend this series to everyone!!
Thank you Danielle!!🙃

5.0 out of 5 stars fun read
I enjoyed the writing style, the friendships and caring the main characters show for one another and the determination Margot shows in her independent quest to see justice prevail. Her intuition is generally spot on and her talent for getting herself into dangerous situations creates tension as well as plot development.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Go-to set of books
This was the set I turned to as a really pleasant break between other books. I liked the characters and although I am not American, and found some expressions different
it was so well written that I could visualise the places. I enjoy cooking and loved the descriptions of the various pastries. Thank you for very enjoyable reads - I am sorry to have reached the end of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Adventurous Read
Although there are 12 books, they flow easily along from one to another. The characters' daily lives provide a good storyline to which the various plots are anchored. The characters are likable and we get to know them well, and root for them. This is a very readable series.
