    This entry fleshes out the world a bit differently and the overall narrative has hints of more structure to it. I like several ideas that show up indicating where this whole thing might go. It’s valuable because we can start to see more of all the players that are involved and a sense of what their goals might be.

    Some earlier character development that was only mildly courted previously continues here into some new things. Some of it’s interesting. I don’t usually have any respect for the worshipped savior fetish because the way consequences and rewards conform to please and validate a juvenile worldview only appeals to a twisted, impotent type of fantasizing. The way authors try to conceive some way for that worship to happen naturally and prove their tropes could somehow cause it is extremely unhealthy.

    I think the MC is starting to flirt with that a little too much but the premise, inertia of various factors in this narrative, and the author’s general life experience that occasionally leaks through will likely keep that reined in to something more believable and developed.

    It’s a decent yarn.
