- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2019As ever, in this wonderful series of fantasy, all based on the historical knowledge of the author, Melcorka of Alba is worthy of the rest, and stands alone. This story takes our heroine to the East where she and Bradan the Wanderer find an all new adventure. The characters supporting Melcorka and Bradan are wonderfully drawn, filled with the fun that the author creates in these stories. Yes there is the seriousness of war, the death dealing which comes with war, but there is humor, there is soul searching, there is a great story which hopefully will lead to another. A great read to be sure. Malcolm's swordswoman is nonpareil in the panoply of heroes and heroines traveling the world in search of themselves.
