A cozy fantasy with sweet & spicy romance!
4⭐️ 1.5🌶️ Jenna has given us another heartwarming cozy fantasy romance! This story between Astrid and Tormund was both fun and beautiful. I loved the setting of a dwarven mining village under the mountain. I also loved seeing some of the other characters from the previous book. To go with the cozy vibes, this story has a mischievous, chocolate loving dragon, yummy cakes & pastries, and some sweet & swoony romance. The banter, tension and slowburn between Astrid and Tormund was perfection! And Tormund’s flirting had me giggling. The little sprinkle of spice was 🤌🏻 Tormund was just so sweet. I loved the way he was always encouraging Astrid and making her feel beautiful and special given she’s a curvy and she’s felt that no one’s ever looked at her the way he does ☺️🥰 The number one thing I love about this series is the endings! Jenna knows how to write heartwarming, super sweet and incredible satisfying HEA endings. And this one had me swooning and feeling all warm and fuzzy! While this story still gave me the same cozy vibes and sweet and spicy romance that I love about this series, this one wasn’t entirely my favorite. There were a couple of things that fell flat or felt rushed to me, like the curses and finding out how to uplift them. Either way, I am still looking forward to the next book and would still highly recommend this if you’re looking for a cozy fantasy romance with a little bit of spice!

    I loved Astrid and Tormunds story.

    They complemented each other so well!

    I loved their banter and all that tension!

    And I really loved how Astrid finally started to believe in herself and how everything came together so beautifully in the end.

    I love the Falling for Fables world. The characters are enjoyable, and their islands have the perfect blend of cozy fantasy and a hint of danger.

    Astrid is adorable, honorable, and loyal. Tormund is strong, brave, and loving. Both want the same prize. But Astrid wants it in order to free herself from a curse, while Tormund wants it to free someone else.

    The story is sweet. I'm excited for the next book in this series.

    I love this series, and this book is another great addition to it. All of them are excellent for escaping from a stressful reality for a while.

    The characters are people I’d enjoy knowing, and the world they inhabit is one I’d love to see.

    I can understand how the author enjoyed writing these to escape her own stressful situation. While I hope that life gets easier for her, I hope she won’t stop writing more of these stories.

    For those who have read the first two books:

    You know what you're in for. It's just as cozy, cute and whimsical as the other two books. 😄

    For those who haven't read the other two books (yet):

    I know Mined in Magic is advertised as standlone in the series, but there will be names and characters from the former books thrown around. I probably would have been confused, had I not read Forged by Magic and Brewed in Magic. And I'm not just saying that to gaslight you into reading the whole series. But, if you like dragons, orcs, elves and demons, read the whole series. Do it! Do it!
