Keeping Mr. Sweet (The Misters Series Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 48 ratings

ASH
Sam Sweets has always been there to rescue me.
He loved me when no one else could. Not even my own family.
I loved him too. More than I ever thought possible.
But love is dangerous. It destroys.
It cuts deep and leaves wounds that aren’t visible to the naked eye.
So I left him to protect him from the damage I could cause.
It didn’t make a difference. I hurt him anyway.
But maybe this time I can make it right.

SAM
I didn’t mean to fall in love with the broken girl next door.
My sister’s best friend was off limits, and besides she was too young.
But she was also mine. I shouldn’t have been surprised that she didn’t stay.
She wasn’t ready for picket fences, wedding dresses, and babies when she had the world at her feet.
Now she’s back. A scandal on her heels.
Still the damaged girl I knew.
And I want to make her mine all over again.

Some of us poor people always look to the rich people and wonder, are they happy or do they just pretend. We watch them fill up the gossip rags with all the things that they have done wrong. When you read this book you finally get a look at what it is like to be one of those rich girls and realize that their life is not a dream.

This book shows us the lengths these rich girls go to try to get attention from the one they need it from most. It also shows us the people they hurt, even though they don't realize they are doing it.

This book was an emotional tug on my heart and I could not believe the amount of tissues I went thru to make it till the end. Listening to Ash's problems made you feel for the woman, and then when you look at everything Sam did for her in the name of friendship or maybe it was love we never really know for sure to start with.

When you read this book be prepared for the emotional journey you will take thru the eyes of the spoiled little rich girl and her bests friends brother who can't help but love who thru anything. This book makes you want to cry and scream and even in my mind I was throwing my tissues at the author.

You will enjoy this book of discovery and the bridges you have to cross to find the one true love. But after those bridges will you be able to keep it or lose it all over again?

Sam and Ashe have the love everyone wants. The kind that never gives up or quits on each other. Ashe has been in trouble in one way or another practically her whole life, while Sam has been her rescuer. It’s what they do push and pull each other until Ashe leaves once again, because Sam won’t ever ask her to stay. He figures she’s got places to see and adventures to have and he won’t stop her. All she’s ever wanted is Sam. She wants him to ask her to stay. When trouble finds her once again, she runs to Sam even though he told her not to. She just needs him to hold her to tell her it’s going to be ok, to make her feel alive again. Ashe tries to solve this problem on her own like Sam told her but a misunderstanding leads to heartbreak. Will Sam forgive her one more time or is she destined to be left alone always seeking and never finding her own happiness or love?

I truly loved this book. It’s a slow burn to their HEA, but so worth it! The characters are well developed and Misti packs in so much emotions into this story. You can literally feel the heartbreak, desperation, and love falling from the pages. This story will definitely make it to my to be reread list...great story!

The latest book in The Misters series sees Sam and Ash's story played out.

Ash has been in Sam's life for what seems like forever, she is his sister's best friend and spent a lot of time with his family due to a tragic childhood. She has a bit of a wild streak, forever getting into one scrape or another......and she can always rely on Sam to be the hero that comes to her rescue.

They have a bit of a chequered history, theirs is a love like no other, yet hurt, pain and anguish seem to keep them apart - Ash keeps running and Sam always takes her back. He just wants to love and protect her but she always finds a reason to push him away, for fear of hurting the one person who has always been there for her.

The time has come for Ash to finally face her demons. Secrets will out but Sam is determined that this time she will stay for good.

A sexy, emotional and angsty read.
Be warned: You may need tissues.......you'll definitely need a fan to cool you down!

Misti has a way of writing that keeps you glued to your seat and staying up well past your bedtime to find out what happens next. This story with Sam and Ash is no different.
Oh my heart! Sam is a strong man, but it comes to Ash, it's like his brain and his heart go all over the place. The history between these two is like something sweet and sour. There is so much love and yet so much heartbreak in return. And some steam. Their story will keep you on your toes. From beginning to end there isn't a dull moment. You may need a few tissues, but you will definitely need a cool down too. Five stars doesn't do this story justice. 10 plus stars

Honestly, I wanted to strangle Ashleigh at multiple points in this story. 😄 Keep reading, you won't hate her at the end of the book. I love how protective Sam is from the beginning.

Liked Ashleigh in the first book but in this one I could cheerfully have strangled her. How do you go from being the sex star in a video which goes viral after you are set up. Then go to your on\off friend but demand sex all the time but wait you are also being blackmailed but don’t share that. Oh yeh then you continually want sex and go off on a self destructive mode where you court potential disaster again !!!! Dad didn’t care about her but dropped a million to the blackmailer. Come on. Nope didn’t like her at all and felt that everyone enabled her to act inappropriately. Not gonna continue with the series.
