5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
I've read the whole unspoken series and now I've just read most of The Amy Rowling Mysteries, apart from, Ten Years Later, which I'm about to start! I have actually devoured them greedily, one after the other! I love all of the characters, quite gentle mysteries but not a hint of goody goody! Please Trevor, get writing more books with old or new characters, just please, get writing! My new favourite author!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Mystery
Have all these books in the series so far and look forward to the next one. Like how Amy and Bodkin's relationship is developing and how Amy helps an overworked Bodkin solve the mysteries and reveal who the culprit is. Like the mysteries an easy read. Passes a few hours

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing novel by an amazing author
Trevor Belshaw is in fine form with this latest novel in the Amy Rawlings series. He creates a unique world with interesting characters from all walks of life. A murder is discovered with little clue as to how the woman died. The crime is expertly solved by Inspector Bodkin and his newly accredited assistant Amy Rawlings. There are quite a few possible suspects for the murder but the reader is kept guessing right until the end for the culprit’s identity to be revealed, Away from the investigation, meeting the regular characters in the series was catching up with old friendsa and finding out what has been happening in their lives since we last met. The story moves along at a good pace throughout keeping the reader engaged and wanting to read more. Thank you, Trevor. An enjoyable read. I look forward to the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amy at her sassy best ~ loved it!
When I first started the Amy Rowlings books, I wasn't sure that they would be my cup of tea ~ how wrong could I be! T.A.Belshaw manages to bring the 1930s to life in this finely crafted series of books.
Amy and Bodkin discover the body of a young woman casually abandoned in a bed of reeds and so begins the investigation into who might be responsible. The victim had her issues and while our intrepid team seek to find her killer they discover that she was a member of an elite sailing club in the nearby town of Highwater. Amy goes undercover at the sailing club without Bodkin's knowledge in an attempt to uncover information about the slew of potential suspects, with some mixed results.
As always there's plenty of insight into the social inequalities/injustice of the time, with a lot of Bodkin's backstory being revealed. The mention of the window tax immediately took me back to when my father showed me the house he'd grown up in that had been subject to it, little snippets make the story even more realistic. The author certainly doesn't skimp on his research.
Of course, Amy and Bodkin unmask the killer after weaning out the suspects as more information comes to light.
This might be my favourite book of the series so far, can't wait to where Amy and Bodkin head next

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a story!
Medway Murders brings Amy and Bodkin another murder to solve. A young girl found in the reeds of the river bed.
She is a member of the local Boat Club, so Amy decideds the only way to find anything out is to join the club herself, without telling Bodkin.
Amy speaks to various members, and it is obvious that this young lady had many men in her life.
She tells Bodkin all she knows and together they try to solve the mystery.
You think you know who it is, but then another character seems to be the person.
Trevor writes a darn good murder mystery, worthy of Agatha Christie's praise.
And no, I didn't solve it. Amy did though!
A jolly good read!
