July last year was completely crazy, but very rewarding. One story every two days for a whole month was hard, but we made it and Soph and I helped each other through it. It was fun and challenging and I would do it again, but not quite yet :). We're re-edited them all and added some author's notes before each story so our readers can have a little insight into our weird minds. Hopefully this is a good thing ;).

    Natasha is a British author living with her husband in the SE of England. She has been publishing genre fiction with Wittegen Press since 2011. Her work includes everything from horror to YA fantasy, and she has never met a genre she didn’t like. A prolific producer of short stories and novels alike, Natasha currently has a large back catalogue with further releases always imminent.

    Natasha was inspired to start writing way back as a pre-teen after she read The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. She is a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and horror in all forms, and is a big advocate of fanfiction as a great tool for writers to polish their skills in a welcoming and supportive community.

    Sophie has been hopelessly addicted to scribbling her imaginings onto paper since she was in primary school. She suspected she was different when her friends wrote a page for their story assignments and she handed in twenty :). Since then, the addiction has only grown worse and eventually it had to spill into the professional domain.

    Growing up adoring fairy tales from Hans Christian Andersen to Neil Gaiman, Sophie enjoys writing fantasy and science fiction, with a side of horror from time to time. A penchant for crime drama also slips its way into her stories as well.

    Sophie is a twin and her sister, Tasha (Natasha Duncan-Drake), shares the writing bug. Together, they run Wittegen Press, an eBook publisher of genre fiction.

    I've followed her from fandom to fandom and on into original fiction. She is one writer that has her own folder because her writing is just that good. I go back and read my favorites whenever my day was less than stellar. I've had a love affair with some of her stories for longer than I care to admit.

    This book in particular is a collection of stories that she and her twin wrote over a month as give aways on their site. These are all 'short for her' stories. Their lack of lenght doesn't keep them from packing a punch. I admit I like the romance much more than the horror. Those were just a mistake to read before I went to sleep.

    Cat's Call and the follow up Cat's Creation are my rainy day favorites. (Two other of her books. They aren't in this collection.)
