Brooklyn Kerr, a Midwesterner since birth, resides in the St. Louis metro area with her husband and son. She is a pet parent to two special needs rescue cats and a big, goofy Golden Retriever.

As a legal aid lawyer, she heard heart-breaking cases every day. But the pandemic changed everything for Brooklyn, and she needed to leave the practice of law to raise her young son. In doing so, she discovered her love of writing.

Due to her passion for being a voice for survivors, she started writing about fictional characters who not just survive a difficult obstacle but overcome their trauma and enjoy their happily ever afters. What began as a hobby has now turned into a full-time career. She has one hockey series complete and a dark romantic suspense series in the works.

Brooklyn’s favorite things are watching and playing sports with her boys, cat snuggles, rubbing a needy dog belly, reading, gardening, cooking, baking, giving avid support to her fellow authors, and hearing from her readers.

    Taylor Ridge is full of surprises in “Choosing You” the latest installment of Brooklyn Kerr’s “Hockey Stars of Taylor Ridge” series. I just loved getting to know Joy. I wish I could have had her as a best friend. A love triangle was a surprise twist in this 4th book of the series and Joy kept us guessing who would be the lucky man to win her heart - the cop or the hockey player. There were twists and turns galore right until the very end and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend that you get to know the residents of Taylor Ridge. They come alive in this debut author’s skilled hands and make me want more! Can’t wait for Book 5!

    Just finished reading this! At first, it took me a day or two to just dig in because of the whole “two guy” sitch. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it especially since I liked the idea of both of the guys. Joy ended up with the right guy, I’m sure of it. However, I still feel some type of way for the one left behind. Will he get his own book/short series??? We really NEED to know what happens with the other guy and how it all turns out. I wouldn’t say no to a bonus bonus epilogue, either 😉. I really hope Ms. Kerr brings us another book for the other guy (trying so hard not to drop spoilers!), because this one was so well written and I’m just a sucker for EVERYONE deserving getting their HEA. Even this guy!

    I love being back in the town of Taylor Ridge with funeral home director Joy. She has been so much fun throughout the series as a friend to all the ladies. Choosing You is a love triangle as her long-time friend, Jackson, reveals his crush at the same time that Joy meets hockey player Chris. I do hope the person not chosen gets his HEA at some point down the road, but I did enjoy how the chosen HEA worked itself out.

    Cute novel. Wasn’t sure if I liked the “grumpy + sunshine”, or the “sunshine + sunshine”.

    Im glad she was open and honest with them both. And chose someone who would keep things interesting.

    I’m interested to see where the sub story will go.

    Okay I’ve been waiting for this for ages but had to clear some of my reading to dive into this head first! Love triangle??! Honestly it blew my mind! I feel for Jackson but I also.. feel his story won’t be far behind! This was so beautiful and I’m so glad joy found Chris and the ways of the Taylor ridge world are slowly coming into place! Hands down a freaking amazing book! Brooklyn has written and incredible series and I cannot wait for more!
