About the author

David Watkins lives in Devon in the UK with his wife, two sons, ridiculous dog and psychotic cat. He has currently released five novels and several short stories. Each book is well rated and reviewed on Amazon and beyond.
His most recent release is The Original's Rage, from Original Books Publishing.
Dave can be found on various social media platforms where you'll find him ranting about horror, the British education system and Welsh rugby, but not usually at the same time.
He hates referring to himself in the third person, but no-one else is going to write this for him.
Praise for David Watkins:

- Reviewed in the United States on November 19, 2024I really wanted to give this a better review after waiting so long to read it from the first two. I mean, it started out really strong but the ending just was too much of a “welp that’s it” feel to it. It was good up until the very last chapter. I’m sorry to say but it was a horrible ending for all the characters that have been apart of the story through the entire trilogy. The last page that spelled the conclusion for the new character just doesn’t fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not everyone gets out alive...
It's taken me a day or so to process this third book of The Original Trilogy. What a roller coaster from a dingey flat in South East London via the beautiful North of Scotland and back to where it all started in rural Devon! David Watkins tells the tale in his trademark matter-of-fact, gripping, page-turning style.
The characters we have met in the previous two books are further developed here amidst scenes of full-on gore and shocking deaths. Jack's inevitable, albeit reluctant, return to the fray was never going to be a quiet affair but Watkins never loses sight of the anguish with which the main protagonist let's go of the settled life he's built over the last 10 years.
The shocking final scenes brought together the remaining wolves and soldiers and left me wondering how anyone could survive in such a claustrophobic space.
If you want to know if anyone did, you'll need to read it yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kill them all
The words of Jack Stadler AND the author. I guess he just wants to be shot of this milestone round his neck and move onto pastures new.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
I did enjoy this book but not as much as the previous two. The character Jack is still a pratt and the soldiers must be the worst since dads army. Thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
Well, I feel like I’ve been holding my breath the whole time I’ve been reading this series. (Twice !!)
A really good trilogy. Exciting, gory, lots of action with a strong solid story line.
I’m a bit sad about the ending though. I’m not one for spoilers, so won’t say anymore.
But if you love a werewolf series which isn’t all that love and crap then this is for you. I loved it!!
