Purchase options and add-ons
It is 1826, and the august members of the Pickman Club gather for their Annual Dinner. As is usual, members are asked to share any recent strange or singular experiences with the group. And so, dinner done, the assembled gather round the fireplace as each, in turn, narrates their tale.
Here are those stories, collated by one who was there, presented for your interest and enjoyment. But be warned! The tales within reveal many disturbing secrets about our world and the things that lay beyond and, in some cases, beneath it.
Read then, if you will, of beings of the outer cosmos, and of the peculiar traditions of decaying, seaside towns. Learn of cursed family artefacts and the dangers of experimenting with exotic drugs. And hearken to the chilling reality revealed by the digging of the Thames Tunnel...
The door to the Pickman Club is open.....

About the authors
Lee Clark Zumpe’s nights are consumed with the invocation of ancient nightmares, dutifully bound in fiction and poetry.
Lee’s work has been seen in distinguished genre magazines such as Weird Tales, Space and Time and Dark Wisdom, and in notable anthologies including Horrors Beyond, Corpse Blossoms, High Seas Cthulhu and Cthulhu Unbound Vol. 1. His stories and poems have earned Honorable Mentions in the Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror.
Lee’s inclination toward horror manifested itself early in his childhood when he began flipping through the pages of Forrest J. Ackerman’s Famous Monsters of Filmland and reading Gold Key Comic classics like Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery and Grimm’s Ghost Stories. Throughout the 1970s, Lee also watched his share of “horrible old movies” on Creature Feature, a locally produced horror movie series hosted by Dr. Paul Bearer (Dick Bennick Sr.).
In his teenage years, Lee discovered Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Ambrose Bierce, Richard Matheson and other masters of the genre.
By day, Lee is an entertainment columnist with Tampa Bay Newspapers. Covering the Tampa area entertainment beat, he has penned hundreds of film, theater and book reviews and has interviewed novelists as well as music industry icons such as Paddy Moloney of The Chieftains and Alan Parsons. His work for TBN has been recognized repeatedly by the Florida Press Association, including a first place award for criticism in the 2007 Better Weekly Newspaper Contest.
Lee earned his bachelor’s degree in English at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The author lives on the west coast of Florida with his wife and daughter.

John lives with my wife Heidi and two dogs in Pennsylvania.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the golden age of pop culture. Marvel comics, Thunderbirds and Star Trek on TV, the mass market paperbacks of James Herbert, Sven Hassel et al, not to mention Airfix, Action Man and all the other great toys of the 60s and 70s. My parents encouraged me to read at a young age, and I steadily worked through the great classics such as The Three Musketeers, Treasure Island, Kidnapped and more, sparking a love for adventure stories and historical fiction.
In my teens I discovered Robert E Howard, H P Lovecraft and the other great pulp writers, as well as Tolkien,Moorcock and many more whose works were readily available in paperback, often with fantastic cover art (Frazetta remains a favourite). At 17 I joined my first band, as a keyboard player, and for a few years was a semi-professional musician before "real life" intervened. However, in recent years, I got back into music, both gigging, writing and recording.
My other passion is martial arts, which I began training as a teenager. As a professional martial arts Instructor, I’ve written for numerous magazines and journals throughout the 90's and, for a time, published my own magazine and training films. More recently I began publishing a series of books on Systema, Russian martial art.
In 2015 I set up Innsmouth Gold, as an outlet for music I had created inspired by Lovecraft and Howard. In 2017 I expanded my output to writing too, with the release of Remnants - a collection of ghost stories, inspired by my time living in the East Anglia Fens and two of my favourite authors. I wear my influences on my sleeve and my goal has always been to produce albums and books of the kind that I enjoy listening to and reading. I hope you enjoy them too!
Mike grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, where he was taught to read on comic books and then moved on to light fantasy such as Piers Anthony and hard sci-fi from Larry Niven.
Things went decidedly darker when he discovered Stephen R. Donaldson and Michael Moorcock. Young Darth Slater went over to the Dark Side more or less completely when Michael Whelan's Del Rey Lovecraft covers caught his eye on the shelves of his most beloved haunt - B. Dalton Books. He was probably too young for those books at the time, but fell in love with the prose and dark ambiance of the works. Roleplaying games weren't far behind, and Sandy Petersen's Call of Cthulhu sealed the awful compact with the dark muses already flitting about the edges of his vision.
Though the baby picture of him in the cultist duds explains much, Mike honed his storytelling and pun-slinging powers through college and grad school - and today enjoys the writing and creation of games and stories almost invariably possessed of at least some dark humor.
It's not all madness and shadows, though. Mike is a family man, and beloved of his two beautiful children and soulmate shieldmaiden, Maggie. They enjoy the outdoors, family game night, and quiet evenings with books or visiting friends in the wilds of Pennsylvania.
When in need of relaxation, contemplation, or inspiration- Mike can be found under the naked stars, by the fires of BurnHenge.

Miguel Fliguer lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His first book “Cooking with Lovecraft” received moderate praise from genre luminaries like S.T. Joshi and Wilum H. Pugmyr. His short stories have appeared in Circulo de Lovecraft (Spain), Vastarien (Grimscribe Press), Crypt of Cthulhu (USA), Strange Aeon 2022, and in several Innsmouth Gold horror anthologies. He has collaborated with eldritch recipes for the illustrated culinary grimoires "Necronomnomnom" and "Lovecraft Cocktails" (Red Duke Games). He dwells on Twitter as @cookingwithHPL and on the Book of Faces as himself.
Tim Mendees is a rather odd chap. He's a horror writer from Macclesfield in the North-West of England that specialises in cosmic horror and weird fiction. A lifelong fan of classic weird tales, Tim set out to bring the pulp horror of yesteryear into the 21st Century and give it a distinctly British flavour. His work has been described as the love-child of H.P. Lovecraft and P.G. Wodehouse and is often peppered with a wry sense of humour that acts as a counterpoint to the unnerving, and often disturbing, narratives.
Tim is the author of over one hundred published short stories and novelettes, seven novellas, and two short story collections. He has also curated and edited several cosmic horror-themed anthologies.
When he is not arguing with the spellchecker, Tim is a goth DJ with a weekly radio show on The Feelgood Station, and the co-presenter of the Innsmouth Book Club Podcast & Strange Shadows: The Clark Ashton Smith Podcast. He currently lives in Brighton & Hove with his pet crab, Gerald, and an ever-increasing army of stuffed octopods.
