Pemberley: The Next Generation Vols 1 - 3: Pride and Prejudice Variations Kindle Edition
Emma Bingley looks forward to a reunion of the entire family at Pemberley, and especially her aunt Lizzy’s spectacular summer ball since Mr Lewis Anderson will be in attendance.
Much as he admires Emma, Lewis is more concerned about the depletion of his family’s fortune. Determined not to court Emma from anything other than a position of strength, Lewis calls upon his friend Christian Warner, the Earl of Ripon’s heir, for advice. Delving into his father’s dealings, the two friends discover that the old man fell prey to fraudsters.
When the involvement of the illegitimate son of a man called Wickham emerges, Bella Darcy and Christian join forces, an unlikely alliance in which opposites clash and sparks fly. What harm can Wickham’s son possibly inflict upon Pemberley, and will Lewis ever be in a position to declare himself to the woman who has stolen his heart…
Naomi Sanford’s Compassionate Nature
As unrest sweeps through England, even the bad weather can’t spoil Emma Bingley’s happiness as her wedding day approaches. Her cousin, Naomi Sanford, is occupied concocting herbal remedies to relieve the suffering of Welsh migrants flocking into Derbyshire. She is distracted by the arrival of Dr Andrew Kenton, a close friend of Emma’s future husband. Drew shares her interest in herbalism but, on the brink of engagement to the beautiful Lady Sarah Napier, he has a career as a surgeon to the rich and famous awaiting him in London.
When an attempt is made on Drew’s life Naomi realises that someone is determined to prevent him from fulfilling his potential. Who is so keen to see Dr Kenton dead, and why? Will the assassins try again and what can be done to protect the man who has stolen Naomi’s heart, even if he is promised to another…
Bella Darcy’s Impetuous Nature
Bella Darcy looks forward to spending a traditional family Christmas at Pemberley. But when Christian Warner arrives unexpectedly with his uncle, the Earl of Ripon, the presence of the handsome former army officer who stalks her thoughts and stirs her passions promises to make the festivities anything but traditional.
Warner tells Bella’s father that he has been set upon in London, and recognised his main attacker as Tobias Porter—a member of the Wickham family that bears a long-term grudge against the Darcys. Bella joins forces with the Earl’s highly eligible heir in a daring attempt to draw Porter out. They make themselves targets by pretending to enjoy a romantic attachment. But as the danger closes in, the reality behind the pretence becomes harder to ignore…
Distracted by his growing awareness of Bella, Chris is unprepared when danger strikes from an unexpected quarter. Can he save Bella from her own impetuous actions, or will his enemies succeeded in wreaking the ultimate revenge…

About the author

I’m a British author, brought up on the Isle of Wight and share my life with a handsome rescued Spanish Podenco called Markos.
I’ve had over one hundred books published, ranging from Regency romance, (my first love), to contemporary women’s fiction and marine crime mysteries.
When not writing I walk miles, make half-hearted attempts to retain flexibility by attending yoga classes, read other people’s tomes…oh, and I’m on a one woman mission to keep the wine trade profitable!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019After reading the first 5 series of Mrs Darcy Entertains, I was curious to know how the rest of the next generation would turn out. Oh so surprised that I so very much enjoyed learning all about the grown up children of the Darcy's and their cousins. I especially loved the developing relationship of Arabella Darcy and Christian Warner - they reminded me of a younger version of Elizabeth and Darcy's romantic convoluted journey. I already miss these characters and wish to know more of their continued relationships. So I also bought the 3rd set in this on going story and plan to re-read these again and again. Thank you Wendi for your delightful storytelling gift.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2019The stories ate good, borrowing from P&P but with enough variation to not feel like rewrites. But over the 6 books (starting w/ previous trilogy), I have noticed inconsistencies: continuity errors. I find these frustrating and confusing. I was also confused by the timing. Austen is widely considered Regency but a date in a chapter title of first trilogy indicated the late 1790s which surprised me. But since Austen avoided any external contexts in her writing, perhaps it makes sense. But since it was the first and only date I saw, it was disorienting. But it places this series in the Regency on more familiar ground. Still, I think Chris first kissed Bella in 1st book of this trilogy but never in second that I recall, so references in 3rd book seem wrong: more confusion. And, alas, plenty of typos. Less in 2nd, oddly. ???

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining.
I have just finished reading Pemberley: The Next Generation Vols 1-3 and Vols 4-6 and I would highly recommend them to all P&P fan fiction lovers. All of our favourite characters are included with their families many new ones who fit right in and are equally likeable and interesting making for many convoluted plots. A great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, relaxing read.
Wendy has a talent in bringing the Darcy family to life, Her books bring a greater depth to Jane Austen’s characters.
I’ve now downloaded the next set of books.
I’m in isolation at the moment with Coronavirus. These books are bringing some much needed escapism...
So thank you. 😊👍

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read
The more I read the more I wanted to, I enjoyed Bella's story the most, but I think that's because it traversed the whole of the boxed set. I'm looking forward to reading the next stories set in and around Pemberley.
