In these troubled political times, it was nice to escape into this clever, lighthearted mystery that is packed with humor. It revolves around Pineapple Port, a senior community filled with eccentric but very likable characters. Charlotte, an amateur sleuth, wants to start a detective agency. She discovers there’s a serial murderer on the loose who is targeting amateur sleuths. The seniors attempt to help her hunt down the killer before she becomes the next victim.     This 16th book in the Pineapple Port series sure kept me laughing. Amy Vansant has a terrific way of helping the the reader actually "see" the whole story. The mystery is fun and the humor even better! The characters are unique and the mystery has lots of twists and turns. This was one that I guessed early on who did it, but I found myself hooked as Charlotte and Declan, along with helpers Mariska, Darla, and Frank had such a time getting in to trouble while putting the puzzle together to discover who might be killing amateur sleuths. It was terrific.
