Marked Wolf (Protector Wolf Shifter Series Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 58 ratings

She is being hunted.
I’m the only one who can keep her safe.
But Tamaska’s fear of me is justified after she discovered I am a wolf shifter, always cunning, always predatory—
loyal to my pack.

The problem is the shifter’s war with the vampires is heightening, and she is an unwitting target.
Leading Tamaska right into the heart of danger.
The vampires want to capture her to complete their ritual and enhance their powers.
And if they succeed, they will dominate over humans, making them their blood slaves.

Falling in love with Tamaska wasn’t in my plans. Losing her to my enemies is not something I can fathom. But I can’t do this alone. I need the loyalty of my pack beside me before the vampires bring chaos to the world.

Who doesn’t love a little supernatural conflict & romance?
Book Two of the Protector Wolf Shifter Series started right up where book one left off. Tamasca is ticked at Kodiak. Both of them want to track down the Blood Opal from the vampires. Both are attracted to each other. Better yet, they seem to be drawn to each other but Tamasca is struggling to understand what Kodiak has unveiled about his true self. One is human. One is a wolf shifter. Tamasca’s struggle often felt like a tug of war between her mind versus her heart throughout book two. I love how the struggle and internal conflict was written in book two. If you haven’t read book one, you might want to do that before finishing up this one so you fully understand the context behind the powerful attraction between the main characters, the hurt Tamasca experienced upon learning of her bff’s fate in book one and then the bombshell reveal from Kodiak after a strange but unexpectedly hot experience between the two. This book delves deeper into the chaos, passion, mystery and excitement that makes this book even better than the first. I’m definitely a fan of the way the author has created this mysterious plot and the personable characters. I look forward to reading book three to see if it is full of supernatural intrigue, mystery, action, and lots of drama. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

We return with Tamaska and Kodiak...the Blood opal is missing and Tamaskas world has been absolutely rocked to its core

The passion builds between these two as they begrudgingly work together unable to deny the connection between them and the heat that fires so quickly into an inferno.

Tamaska continues to be stubborn and there are many unanswered questions about why she's starting to feel a little less human and a little more....what exactly.

Can Kodiak protect his pack while dealing with his Alpha who doesn't want him anywhere near Tamaska and protect Tamaska from the Vampires who want her... blood... or is it more than that
    Good read!

Tamaska Lane needs to recover the Blood Opal if she is going to redeem herself and save her career. She thought she could trust Kodiak after their interlude but that changed when she found out he was a wolf. With her deep-seated phobia of dogs, as far as she is concerned he is just a bigger kind of dog. She’ll recover the Blood Opal on her own even if it means going back to the vampire nightclub alone.

Kodiak and his wolf know that Tamaska is fated to be his mate but getting her to accept that isn’t going to be easy. It won’t be easy getting his pack to accept her either. The rule says purebloods only. In the meantime, all he can do is protect her from the vampires. What makes her so special that they keep coming after her?

I really enjoyed this book. There are definitely some very steamy scenes, but the plot is well-developed and had my interest from the first page. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Marked Wolf is the second book the Protector Wolf Shifter series. Marked Wolf is the continuation of Kodiak and Tamaska’s story. I absolutely loved reading Marked Wolf which I found to be completely captivating from start to finish. I also did NOT want to set this book down until I read the last page. Author Lilliana Rose has done another fantastic work with creating this amazing wolf shifter romance. I’m looking forward to reading Rouge Wolf to see what will happen next between Kodiak and Tamaska. Marked Wolf is most certainly one that I would give as a recommendation for anyone who loves reading wolf shifter romances.

The only reason why I'm giving this book three stars is because of Kodiak. I still don't like Tamaska. If you find out that your best friend was taken out by vampires are you really going to go and sneak into their nightclub to try and retrieve a blood opal knowing that on numerous occasions they've tried to snatch you. Like I said in my first review of the first book not the brightest crayon in the Box. Honestly I wouldn't even have read the second book if I hadn't already made a commitment.

Tamaska is being hunted by vampires. She has learned that there is a Blood Opal out there and she has found out that the vampires have it. This Blood Opal is destined to change the world forever if it stays in the hands of the vampires.

No way is this going to happen if Tamaska has a say in the matter. She is determined to get her hands on that opal if it is the last thing she does. She will risk everything to get that opal away from the vampires even going into the vampire's den herself.

But this wolf shifter that she has just met is not going to allow that to happen if he can help it. Kodiak is a wolf shifter and will do whatever it takes to keep Tamaska safe. Even following her into the lion’s den or should I say a vampire den.

Kodiak’s pack does not allow a wolf and a human to bond. Kodiak is a little worried about this one little fact. Kodiak knows that he is falling hard for Tamaska and he is not so sure that he can change the minds of his pack mates to accept Tamaska.

Marked Wolf is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series and just as good if not better than the first book Shadow Wolf. Like the first book Marked Wolf pulled me in from the first page and is still hanging on. Tamaska and Kodiak took me on a very exciting ride as I followed them into that den of vampires not knowing if they were going to make it out alive. It gave me cold chills.

If I wasn’t hooked by now, well, I sure was then. I was hanging on every word as the adrenaline kept pumping page after page keeping me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to see what comes next for Tamaska and Kodiak in the next book Rogue Wolf.

I invite you, dear reader, to grab a copy of Marked Wolf today and follow Tamaska and Kodiak as they try to save the world from vampires!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marked Wolf: A Thrilling Blend of Romance, Danger, and Shifter Destiny
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 3, 2025
where Shadow Wolf left off. The narrative continues to follow Tamaska, an event planner thrust into a hidden world of vampires and wolf shifters, and Kodiak, a beta wolf shifter torn between his pack’s expectations and his growing bond with Tamaska.

Tamaska’s life becomes increasingly perilous after being marked by vampires, a danger she initially underestimates. Determined to retrieve the stolen Blood Opal, she often finds herself at odds with Kodiak, who is equally resolute in protecting her. Their relationship is fraught with tension, not only due to external threats but also because of Tamaska’s deep-seated fear of dogs—a fear that complicates her feelings toward Kodiak upon discovering his true nature.

Kodiak faces mounting pressure from his pack to prioritize their longstanding feud with the vampires and to distance himself from Tamaska. Despite the pack’s rejection of her, an undeniable bond forms between them, challenging Kodiak to find a balance between his duties and his heart’s desires.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance.

    4 Stars

Marked Wolf is the second book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series by Lilliana Rose. It is an intriguing urban fantasy/paranormal romance with shifters (wolves), vampires, a precious gem called the ‘Blood Opal’, a quest, action, adventure, danger, drama, chemistry, tension, mystery, emotion, politics, high stakes, agendas, suspense, the supernatural, the threat of war, and much more.
This picks up where we left off in book one. Tamaska has been targeted by the vampires and Kodiak must answer to the pack- so things are about to get ‘interesting’… I was avidly reading, immersed in the story, following along to see how it all played out. Excitedly awaiting Book #3!
    Happy Reading…

    Thank you, Lilliana Rose!

Another fab book with more action. She wants the opal back so she can move on with life but it’s not that simple when a shifter wants you
