Author and artist Jordan Castillo Price writes paranormal adventures colored by her time in the Midwest, from inner city Chicago, to various cities across southern Wisconsin. She’s settled in a 1910 Cape Cod near Lake Michigan with tons of character and a plethora of bizarre spiders. Any disembodied noises, she’s decided, will be blamed on the ice maker.

Jordan is best known as the author of the PsyCop series, an unfolding tale of paranormal mystery and suspense starring Victor Bayne, a gay medium who's plagued by ghostly visitations. And her quirky, sweet, magical series The ABCs of Spellcraft is sure to make you smile.

More Vic and Jacob is always a good thing so for that reason alone I would've loved this second volume of briefs. But there was a lot going on beyond quick visits with the characters. There were a few things that I think hint at future books which is really exciting. In particular, the lengthier Imposter Syndrome was fantastic and raised some interesting questions while also letting us visit a character I love but doesn't appear too much in the regular series.
The stories jump around to different points in their relationship and it was fun to see the progression in such an obvious way rather than slowly over the course of the books.
This series continues to stay interesting and with clear character and plot development even in these short stories. Every book makes me love the series more.

In addition to some really fun stories, what I love about the briefs is getting to know Vic and Jacob better, looking into everyday interactions, non-work-related activities, and seeing more facets of their relationship dynamic. There are a couple of episodes from Jacob's point of view which are great for giving us a look at Vic outside his anxious, sometimes self-critical inner dialogue. What would a PsyCops book be without some ghosts? There are a few tucked among the pages, sometimes in surprising places. These stories, long and short, are so fun and easy to read, the end comes entirely too quickly. I hope the seeds of the next volume are already germinating because I can't wait to read more of these!

The PsyCop universe is a place I never tire of visiting. And this collection of shorts just reminds me of how interesting and engaging the characters are.

Absolutely enjoyed this collection of stories - it's a walk down memory lane with 'early Victor' appearances. I was smiling for most of the book, I'd forgotten how entertaining Vic can be. He's matured / gained confidence in later books and consequently some of that dorkiness has lessened. These stories are lighthearted, engaging and funny. Imho, Other Half was a little angsty due to Jacob's situation and to me this felt like the perfect follow-up. I loved it can't wait to read it again. CON: All books in this series should be longer, they're so good! Lol.

I just can’t get enough of Vic and Jacob…from Scrabble….to running a marathon (which had me peeing my panties I was laughing so hard)… to Vic’s insecurity as he takes new cadets on his rounds….to Lisa sí no and so so so much more. We get the PsyCops while they’re still in Vic’s apartment and also share their furnace woes as new homeowners in their cannery loft…and tons more laughter as these PsyCop Briefs had me wetting my briefs over and over again, sometimes from laughing and other times from the brief (there’s that word again) HOT encounters between the 2 of them which had me seeing stars, 5 to be exact!

I really enjoy reading all these brief stories of Vic and Jacob’s life inbetween the novels! It really is fun to just see glimpses of things they’re doing. And watching life happen.

An excellent collection that follows Vic and Jacob in short stories set during the Psycop series, divided into the four seasons as the theme.
The stories explore the characters, their relationship (and there’s some banging sex scenes if you like that sort of thing :) ) and some spooky ghostly adventures.
It’s a great read for any Psycop fan. I would recommend a new reader start at the beginning, as this contains spoilers for the rest of the series.

I absolutely adore Victor Bayne. He's such a ball of awkwardness, and anxiety riddled cuteness. In this latest volume, we see little slices of everyday life. My favorites were the stories of Vic trying to clean the house, and him trying to show "Baby PsyCops" the ropes. Jakes plays a prominent role interwoven into the stories, and I fell in love with him a little more with each story.
If you love Victor and Jake, and enjoy laugh out loud humor, then you'll love catching up with Vic as much as I did.

12 books in, 2 books of shorts and I’m still so invested in these guys that most of the time I feel like smiling (not with the ghosts though). The turn of phrase is so good, each short story was a pleasure to read.

Very much love this series! I am sad to be nearing the end. If you like a more believe version of the supernatural, this is it. I feel like some folks are almost there, nearly finding that white light!

If you are reading this book then I am sure you must already know about Vic and Jacob. This was a lovely read and I enjoyed going back and filling in gaps and recalling past characters as well as current. The thing about these two men is that (apart from ghosts, exorcisms, corpses etc) they are normal. Protective, vulnerable and very much in love and it is not a gushing love it is a normal couples type relationship. I am now going back to read the wedding again because these stories have made me want more Vic and Jacob.
