Rainy Day Lovers (The Rocklyns Book 3) Kindle Edition
Raina spent her youth as the problem-solver and peacekeeper of her volatile dysfunctional household, then later continued in a similar role as a family law attorney often working sixteen-hour days. But as she watches her family and her clients move on with their lives, she is shocked to discover she forgot to get a life of her own.
After a tragedy that left him orphaned and alone, Roman finally got a second chance and he made the most of it. Although he is now a plastic surgeon, an expert in repairing external scars, the scars from his own internal wounds still haunt him—and so does the memory of the girl whose act of courage and kindness changed his life.

5 out of 5 stars
The story Rainy Day Lovers (The Rocklyns Book 3) by Alicia Street is a contemporary romance book. This was an amazing story to read. One of the reasons is the wonderful characters of Raina and Roman. I absolutely loved reading about them. Raina is a woman who is strong, independent, and kind. She is a person who helps those in need. She is a problem-solver. However, she has found that while she has been helping others she has not progressed with her own personal life. Roman is a man that also helps those in need. He is handsome, hard-working, and loyal. There is definitely an attraction between these two. When reading about them you can feel the way that they affect each other. Will Raina let Roman into her heart? Will Roman, a man whose past still haunts him, take a chance at love? Read this book to find out. This is a romance story that had me hooked and had my emotions going up and down. Raina and Roman are both characters that I grew to love with each chapter that I read and I wanted them to find happiness. I enjoyed that both characters have a love of family. There are steamy moments in the story. I also enjoyed the dialogue/interactions that Roman and Raina had with the secondary characters. The bantering made smile. There are moments that are sad and others that warmed my heart. This is a story that I didn’t want to put down until I had read the last page. It is a book I would highly recommend.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2019In the first chapter we meet a spunky heroine at age 18, and the story premise intrigued me. Chapter two fast-forwards 15 years, and the H/H meet again. Roman knows who she is, but she doesn’t guess his secret until near the end of the story. I wanted to get into Roman’s head; I kept waiting to get deeper and it just didn’t happen. There was an interesting dynamic with Roman’s adoptive father and a ‘mini mystery’ with his nephew to keep things moving along.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2019Rainy Day Lovers (The Rocklyns Book 3) by Alicia Street was an addicting read that had me hooked from start to finish.
Right out of the gate I was drew in by this pair. It was obvious that Raina was a special kind of person, from the moment we not only meet her but when she meets Roman. The opening scene not only set the stage, and it set in motion a serendipitous moment for these two lovers.
Rain really stole the show, she was a no BS person and called Roman out on his hot and coldness right from the start. She wasn't going to let misunderstandings or anything else stand in her way. Though I will say there was a few times I wanted to slap both of them. The plot was fast moving, but I felt their connection, and for me, nothing felt forced or awkward.
Roman was a sweet character, and I loved the split POV letting us see inside his head and his insecurities. It added that much needed layer, rounding out an already solid plot and story. What I also loved was how even though Roman had so much success, he has this imposter syndrome playing in the background. It made his character real, and grounded. Going through what he did, isn't something you just get over, so having that flaw in his perfect persona, was that special something that made me connect with him.
Overall this story is a solid read and it's get a super high recommendation form me. So please take my stamp of approval, that you will get loss in this emotional heart though read, and be left wanting more.
Happy Reading

- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2019Rainy Day Lovers was a great book from start to finish. The characters were great and the plot was great.
It all started in 2001 when Raina was witness to a homeless guy around her age was getting attacked. He wasn’t only homeless but he was in some sort of horrific accident by the look of his face. Raina saved the young man and took him to get something to eat. Then gave him money and some good advise. She told Robbie to go speak with a friend of hers and she knew if given the chance she knew he would make the best of it. All because of Raina, Robbie stepped in to help a man being robbed in a park one night and his life changed.
Fifteen years later Raina and Robbie ( who now goes by Roman ) somehow meet again. Roman has a new face and is a plastic surgeon. All things happen for a reason. Fate stepped in and did the right thing in this book about second chance meetings / romances. Roman keeps his past hidden to Raina and doesn’t tell her that he was the homeless guy she helped all those years ago. What will happen when the truth comes out.
This book was such a sweet read. I love Roman. He’s just an all around great guy and I believe he was given that second chance at a happy life because of his run in with Raina.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rainy and Roman
Rainy has had enough of trying to to help the poor people win in the courts and has moved back home to live near the rest of her families.
Previously:- One night a young woman was driving around when she saw some boys and girls set on a homeless person and reacts on instinct and drives her car towards the thugs, just missing them and quickly opens her passenger door and tells the homeless person to jump into the car. And that's how she met Robbie, by doing a good turn for someone in need.
Year's later the girl meets Roman who she feels an instant attraction to.
This is a truly lovely story and shows that it's good to help others less fortunate than yourselves. This is truly a good read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Romance!
4 Stars
Rainy Day Lovers is the third book in The Rocklyns series by Alicia Street. This is my first read from Ms, Street, so I didn’t really know what to expect going in. But the blurb sounded promising, and the cover is lovely, so in I went. I found was a wonderful, well-written, contemporary romance- with characters who drew me into their story and kept me turning the pages to follow them while their story unfolded. Roman and of Raina- what can I say, I absolutely loved them. They are so well developed and complicated individuals- but written in such a way that they were entirely realistic, relatable and believable. I was invested in them and their lovely story. I felt for them too, especially Roman! Even though there were times I wanted to shake them, both!
And even the secondary characters added to the whole storyline. They have intrigued me enough to want to go back and read the rest of the series, before any new instalments come out.
I read the book in a little over an hour, and found it have a great pace, and is a smooth and easy read.
A lovely romance, and I can’t wait to explore the rest of the series!
Thank you, Ms. Street
