★Short story classroom read-alouds and bedtime stories that delight children, parents and teachers!★

This short story collection for 5-9-year-olds has new short stories, plus some that continue on from the ever-popular free Cinderella Sarah One Short Stories collection (over 14000 downloads) including:

  • Cinderella Sarah and the Chocolate Thief: the next instalment of our Cinderella story told by her little brother has him and Cinderella Sarah chasing down a chocolate-stealing fiend
  • Morris the Monkey and the Lie: Morris the jungle monkey returns and this time learns that lying doesn’t always turn out for the best. Sing along with a fun jungle animal song
  • Grandma's Broken Magic—Goldilocks’ fairy godmother is having even more trouble with her magic wand and this time, Rumpelstiltskin is the cause of the trouble.
  • Dumplepumple and the Joltfluffs—Our hero the troll must rescue his friend the dragon from the dangerous Joltfluffs that spit out lightning. If they smother Dumplepumple, he'll turn into a cute little bunny—how dreadful!
  • Storytime Class: Sophie and Lewis are left in charge of the juniors at school. What could go wrong? Perhaps nothing, but whatever happens, it won't be quiet.
  • The Bodyguard Returns: Alex's bodyguard dog is not enjoying his new home, but he will continue to protect his family, no matter what.

The new stories include the following exciting adventures:

  • The Flying Elephant: Bubba the baby elephant looks a little strange, no trunk, big ears on his back not his head, and a long spiky tail. But it doesn’t matter to Milly, she knows he’ll grow up to look like an elephant. If the zookeepers don’t catch them both first.
  • Sea Monsters and Pirates: Jane was the grumpiest pirate on the seas, until she rescues three children. But are they really children or something else? It’s going to take an attack by a giant octopus to find out.
  • Jangle's Rainy Day: Jangles the hippopotamus loves rainy days when there were no visitors to the zoo. But this rainy day, one little boy who loves talking to her is about to turn her rainy day into a true adventure.
  • Tooth Collecting: Lilli the tooth fairy was so excited—tonight was her first time to collect teeth. But someone has taken her coin bag! How will she find it in time?
  • The Hoobliegooblies: Joey the hedgehog meets Rumbletumble JumpilBumpil the Fourth (Rumjumbum for short)—a very busy rabbit who can’t wait to find a hoobliegooblie monster. Lucky for him, Joey knows exactly where one is. But isn’t it dangerous?
  • The Pizza Problem: Delivering pizza’s may not be as easy as you’d think, especially when your motor scooter misbehaves.
  • Benjamin’s Time Travel Adventure: Go back in time along with Benjamin and solve the problem of a broken bell that needs a bit more than blob of glue to work again.
  • The Hoppity Highness: Edmund and Eloise discover they are royalty a few days before they are captured by bandits. But these bandits aren't very brave so maybe with a touch of silliness there could be a chance to escape...

Laugh along with these happy, fun stories with your child tonight at bedtime or enjoy them in your classroom. Fun, moral English stories loved by both boys and girls. You’ll love them too.

Karen has been writing stories ever since her primary teacher told her she had a great imagination when she explained that her math homework had been eaten by her pet cow. Stories were everywhere she looked, especially as she grew up in between the pages of books.

She left academic life, headed away from her pet cow and towards the city and after many exciting “life experiences” (something she was told she needed to have to be a writer) she settled in a seaside town with great weather and even better fish and chips.

Having helped prepare her two children to leave home by teaching them their alphabet and the effects of vinegar on baking soda, she now spends her days working with her husband in their family business, writing stories, and gardening with her pet cat to keep her company and tell her when it’s time to come inside again.
