J.C. Hannigan has done it again with another well written novel. She is talented, romantic and creative in every way possible. She knows how she wants her characters to sound and writes them how she pictures them. All her fans wait eagerly on the edge of their seats for every novel that she has published that's just how good they are. In the short span of being an author she has published more books than I can count on my one hand.

I loved this book with the two new main characters Tessa and Brock. These characters are complete opposites and yet they still find ways back to each other. One being the good girl everyone wants and the other being the bad boy everyone hates. Each growing up in different life styles and with different friends only makes things more interesting. This novel has love, death and hate all mixed into the pages, which you will be hooked from the first to the last page.

I also highly recommend all of J.C. Hannigan's books to start reading and to fall in love with.

If you’re a regular on my blog you know that I am a JC Hannigan fan. I’ve read ALL her books and I’m pretty confident I will continue to do so. I love reading her words, watching her grow and feeling her moving, familiar and soulful love stories right through to my bones. Rebel Soul is no different. Writing a story that is a little bit different to her past books, the characters, the setting and the emotion in Rebel Soul is addictive and refreshing. Set in a small town, Hannigan explores the importance of loss and the healing power of love. Not just love between a guy and a girl, but the very existence of love within friends, love within families and of course love within lovers.

Tessa Armstrong is all grown up and ready to make plans for college and fulfill her future dreams, her only problem is her father and brothers are stifling. Over bearing and over protective, it’s endless warning off all the boys in town – especially Brock Miller

This novel is something special. The characters drew me right into the story with a true-to-life vibe that made me feel like they could be friends of mine or neighbors down the street. The romance is extremely romantic and warm with several swoon-worthy moments, and the switching POV really added to the overall emotions and tension in the book. I love the emotion this book has. From start to finish you have an instant connection with the characters. Tessa is young but knows what is in her heart; she just wants to stand on her own feet. Brock has suffered though very trying times in his life and has only become stronger from it. He has built a wall around his heart. You go on a journey of love and loss and find that love may be the only thing worth fighting for. I love J.C.’s writing style and her take on romance is so addicting. This book was beautifully written, and the pace was perfect. J.C’s writing never feels rushed the story just unfolds in its own time. I honestly can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This is now my new favourite JC Hannigan book and I wasn't sure what to expect of it being a more country book. I fell in love with Tessa and Brock very quickly, Hunter too ;)

I found myself disappointed when I realized I was on the last page because I didn't want the story to end. I really liked how it ended though.

As I have with every one of JC's books, I laughed and cried while reading Rebel Soul. It had a lot of emotion. Some points were really feel good, and there were times I was worried, other times really sad. You get a bit of everything in this book.

I love that Tessa has a feisty side. She was a great character. Brock was protective, caring, and he had this edge I loved. Plus I love a guy that loves his dog.

Another great read by one of my favourite authors!
