About Brina Brady

From the streets of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where I ruled as the eldest of five siblings, my life’s journey has been an adventure. After marrying my partner, we started a family and welcomed three amazing daughters into our lives. In 1973, the waves called, and we answered—moving to the sun-kissed beaches of sunny Huntington Beach, California. It was a dream come true.

Later, I married my loving second husband, and when family called, we packed up and headed to Indiana. Retirement opened a new chapter for me, filled with the laughter of my four adorable grandchildren and the company of two sweet cats. It’s a life full of love and completed goals.

For twenty-seven years, I taught at a Continuation High School in Los Angeles, California, where I shared my passion for learning with my students. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Secondary Social Science Credential, and a master’s degree in Secondary Reading and Secondary Education from California State University, Long Beach. I also took creative writing classes at UCLA, which helped fuel my love for storytelling.

Speaking of storytelling, I’ve been hooked on it since I was a kid. As a child, I’d spend Saturday afternoons writing novels while sipping on my grandmother’s homemade, comforting chicken soup. Even as a busy stay-at-home mom, I made time to write every day—it was my escape and my joy. Later, while teaching, I kept writing, though the demands of the classroom meant I had less time to devote to it.

Today, I’m a contemporary romance author who loves writing LGBTQ+ stories. My books often explore complex relationships and emotional journeys, with several series diving into BDSM dynamics. I also write MM romance without BDSM themes, focusing on engaging plots, well-developed characters, and plenty of steamy moments.

When I’m not writing, I’m indulging in my other passions. I’m an avid reader, always getting lost in new worlds and characters. I also love graphic design, where I get to blend art and technology to create something beautiful. And when it’s time to relax, I’m hooked on Turkish TV series—their rich stories and cultural depth totally captivate me. Each of my hobbies reflects my love of creativity, storytelling, and exploring new horizons.

    Brina has done a brilliant job on her first book. The story line is strong and very easy to follow with a lot of Hot Sex, BDSM, and yet a very strong love between Dmitri, a Russian Mobster, and Brennen, a young college student, a male escort, and Dmitri's lover when Brennen turns 18 and continues throughout the story These two characters are very well developed and very lovable and the love they share is strange, but deep. Dmitri is older than Brennen, but their devotion to one another is astounding. Dmitri has married a woman due to an arrangement which causes a lot of drama. This story has a lot of twists and turns, emotionally and physically, and punishments are a mainstay. I loved this book. It was extremely Hot and arousing, but it also tugs on your heart as their relationship is strained in so many ways. This is a Must Read!! If you love MM SEX, Romance, Love, and BDSM, you will love this. Can't wait till the next book of this series comes out. Highly recommend this!!

    I really didn't know what I was going to think when I purchased this book.
    This genre has to be one of my favorites. MM plus a little bit of BDSM thrown into it. If you don't like spankings you should not read this book. If you do, you will not be let down. Brennen certainly knows how to get in trouble, and Dimitri knows how to swing a belt. I did find Brennen's character kind of annoying at first, because I found him to be whiny. Then I took under consideration that even though he is an adult, he has every reason to be unhappy. He has been under Dimitri's protection. He's never been able to do things on his own. He hasn't had a chance to grow as an adult.

    I don't understand why there is so much negativity regarding this book. I admit the writing is a bit choppy but the overall storyline is very good. I love it when two men come together and express their love for each other. Throw in some BDSM and that makes it in my opinion, even better.

    I feel that this book is a great start for this author. I can't wait to read her 2nd book Bend Over.

    Their is going to be a book 2 and I can't wait to see where this author takes Dimitri and Brennen's relationship.

    I both loved and hated this book. Not for the reasons you might think. Rent Me was a free read for me and a first time read of Brina Brady for myself. Brina wrote a very compelling story. I was excited and intrigued. Her writing was well done and the flow was terrific. It was a long book but it was so fast paced it didn't feel that way. I was NEVER bored. What had me painfully on the fence about this book was the characters. I didn't like a single one. I admit this is a first for me. I've never read a book, loved the story but despised the characters. I literally couldn't find one redeeming quality in anyone. BUT (yes, there's a but) Toward the end of Rent Me the characters began to change, I saw hope for their redemption. It's why I will read book 2 (Own Me)I am curious and hopeful. Brina knows how to write intense, hot, stories. I suspect you aren't supposed to LOVE these characters and if that's her goal she nailed it. LOL. Like I said I will read Own Me to see if the evolution of these characters heads in the direction I'm hoping.

    Brennan is in an unusual relationship with Dimitri. Brennan never knew his father and when his mother died at age ten he lived with her boyfriend who physically and sexually abused him. He was rescued by Dimitri who took him home and treated him as a son seeing to all his needs and education. Dimitri is a Russian gangster but Brennan loves him deeply. When Brennan turns 18 he becomes Dimitri's lover. Things get further complicated when Brennan demands to work as a sexual escort at Dimitri's agency. Then Dimitri married a woman in order please his family in Russia and to have a family while keeping Brennan on the side. It is a convoluted story but things finally work out for our HEA. You have to read this well written book in order to get the full flavor of this dynamic and entertaining book.

    This book had a lot of promise. It gave a really good look at the main character, Brennen and how he struggled through his very weird relationship with Dimitri. I could see how the relationship developed and how they are having such a hard time and Brennen really showed out when he wasn't happy. Not sure I was pleased with the ending and how abrubt it seemed.

    Also, there were a lot of grammar issues and the style sometimes seemed stunted. Brennen was about to graduate from college and go to law school, but struggled with subject/verb agreement?!!

    The overall characters were interesting if not always likeable. The plot moved fairly well and I generally enjoyed the read!

    THIS book is well written and realistic in a way I have not seen from M/M romance writers in a good while. There is always something going on in this book. When you think you have everything figured out, the author hits us with a major plot twist. The MC'S are engaging and realistic. I found myself becoming extremely wary of Demetri to the point of mistrusting him. As for Brennan I couldn't help but sympathize with all his insecurities and desperate desire to belong.
    The heat level is hot, but not scorching. All sex scenes were beautifully crafted by the author. The story does contain soft BDSM. There is also a lot of reference to child abuse and molestation. Rape is also alluded to. Anyone who is triggered by those things or violence in a relationship should be wary of certain aspects of the story.
    There are few grammatical errors. Most immediately noticeable errors are close to the end and does not take away from the story. I'm on the lookout for this author's next book.

    What can I say this book was first read as a sample, 5 chapters worth, then I got the full book 1 followed immediately by books 2 - 5, I couldn't put them down until I finished them all (which took 5 days) the series show human nature at it's best and worst and a whole lot in between, storyline is brilliant and the characters believable there's highs and lows, angst and lots of love and steamy moments.
    For me this is a series worth immersing yourself in and forgetting the housework (like I did, literally) and I'm following this Author, buying another series 'BEND OVER' the blurb reads good so hopefully will be as good

    When I started this I was a little horrified by some of the blunt brutality but also a teensy wee bit turned on. So my first thought of not being able to finish this quickly faded and I was in for the long haul. This IS brutal, stark, and sexy as heck, enough that I couldn't put it down. The relationship between Dmitri and Brennan is fraught with explosive emotions, violence, and unbridled passion, it's an amazing but breathe taking story, my only complaint is the utter stupidity of Brennan at 96% for what he did, I wanted to scream.
