As a fan of the animated series before I started on these, the plot follows closely. However, further details are always possible to find given the format, and the art and extras made it especially enjoyable.

My only disappointments are that these do not release more quickly, and that the translators tend to translate a bit too "much" at times. This can lead to certain things losing context, with particular examples being Subaru's many nicknames for Emilia. However, the translation is excellent overall, and I never felt pulled out of the story due to it.

I hope to continue to support this series. Re:Zero is, to me, one of the most interesting fantasy stories ever written. On to read the fourth volume I go!

As a fantasy book fan, Re:ZERO was a very interesting and well structured novel. Eventhough I am new at reading light novel, I really enjoyed the Japanese style fantasy novel. The characters are distinctive, and the pictures drawn every tens of pages really describes the character's appearance well. If you are looking for a great time killing book, this light novel will be a great choice.

I Love how it’s written and has some good colored illustrations with cast of characters and such, the story is pretty good too, I recommend it if you’re a fan of fantasy and rpg, though it’s a bit gruesome.

The book really give you a better idea on how desperate Subaru was and how much posturing he was actually doing as opposed to the anime. On the other hand, the anime gives actual visuals of the mansion and the twin sister’s backstory. I love both mediums though. Recommend both.

I watched the anime a while ago. Long enough ago that the details of the story are hazy.

I love all the characters, especially Beatrice. Subaru is as annoying as ever, but he makes the other characters truly shine.

This is a great read for fans and also for people who want a well structured, fast paced fantasy story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Un antieroe evocato senza scopo... FANTASTICO
Reviewed in Italy on May 4, 2017

5.0 out of 5 stars Just a rant about Rem

Emilia is clearly an elder sister type towards Subaru. It is painful to see Rem completely in love with the fool. It should be Rem considering how much they spend together...also Beatrice is adorable.
