The Right Side of Wrong Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 589 ratings

From USA Today bestselling author, Prescott Lane, comes a steamy new standalone about a single mom and the man determined to win her heart.

It wasn’t love at first sight. That would be too easy.

I can tell you all the reasons Paige and I shouldn’t be together.
But love overlooks a lot.

My heart doesn’t care that I’m ten years older.
There's no age gap in how she makes me feel.

My heart doesn’t care that she’s a single mother.
It just makes more room.

My heart doesn’t care that she's got secrets of her own.
It's used to keeping mine.

The moment I laid eyes on Paige, I lost control.
Control of my desires. Control of my secrets. Control of my heart.

Right or wrong, we’re going to have to fight for our happily ever after.
And I don't plan on losing.

Opposites attract age gap romance
3.25 stars Paige is on a rough path. She has a newborn son and few prospects. She is trying to do right by her son, but at the moment she hits a new low, Slade comes in to save her. Slade and Paige come from very different worlds, but when he takes her in and gives her a job, the two are quickly drawn to one another. They both have secrets and past skeletons in their closet that ultimately come out to bite them. But, the relationship between them and how he feels about her young son was so sweet. Slade was a bit much for me. I wasn’t really sure I was going to be able to get in board the Slade-train… but I eventually did. His possessive ‘my way or else’ attitude was off putting at times. But ultimately it worked well.

Wow!! I absolutely adored “The Right Side of Wrong” by Prescott Lane. The characters called to me, made me weepy, and allowed me a glimpse into their journey of hope. Paige is one of the strongest women I have ever encountered and I found myself reading her thoughts and memories over and over again so I could completely understand all she had been through.

Naturally, her son Finn came first in her life and no matter how she earned her living, he would have a better life than she did. When Slade rudely approached her at the bar, she wanted nothing to do with the handsome but arrogant businessman. His insinuations hurt her feelings, his intrusion was unwanted and his demanding personality was offensive. But a few days later, in the brightness of a new morning, Paige had no choice but to accept his handouts and start a new life in the countryside where it would be safe to raise her son.

Once Paige was entrenched in the world of Slade in his amazing house on his impressive ranch, she realized they both had secrets they were reluctant to share. As long as she did her job, cared for Finn, and stayed away from Slade, she would be fine. Slade had other ideas when it came to Paige. He was a man who got what he wanted regardless of how it was accomplished. From the moment he first saw Paige, he knew he was meant to save her and give her a better life. Who knew it would also include her adorable son? If it was fate that had given him a ready-made family, then so be it. No matter what happened or what secrets were revealed, Slade was in it for life when it came to Paige and Finn.

This book was very good, getting to meet Paige and Slade. They got to meet at the same party she was there as someone else's date, non other than Slades dad. Paige has had a really hard upbringing and has promised her son to always do whatever was needed for him to have better but what she never expected was Slade to become someone in their life. They both had secrets and they started to unravel. But getting their second chance at life changed everything for their happily ever after. 😍

Slade kind of rides the line between nice guy and jerk in this one, especially in the beginning. It's hard not to see the care that he puts into Paige and Finn, even as he tries to stay away. I loved that Paige would do all that she could to make sure Finn was cared for, but I loved that she was able to welcome people that she could care for...who would also give her that care back. I also love that this book was based in the Nashville area...one of my favorite places.

Wow, I'm left speechless. Paige and Space had my heart from the get go. Such brokenness and loss. No self worth and no trust for each of them. Both their childhood up bringing was so far from perfect. Many things they both endured. I laughed and cried .. This story had me on the edge of my seat. Sweet Finn ran away with my heart. Such tension and passion between Paige and Slade. Sweet redemption in the end for them both and little Finn. Well done Prescott

I couldn’t wait to read it.
Slade and Paige didn’t start on the right foot. The angst and tension, different words and struggles, well I was ready for the fight.

A hero who has totally misjudged the heroine in the first place and she was definitely not a damsel in distress, fierce and independent. Both with trust issues.

Paige had to survive all her life, not relying on people and trying to provide what was best for her son. A woman who had endured a lot, experienced a tough life but was trying to find a way to make it better.

Slade was kinda jerk, kinda sweet, sometimes hot and cold. Struggling with his attraction and pulling towards her.

I enjoyed the storyline but it felt rushed to me in some parts. I would have loved to see more development. It was somehow abrupt.

There were some inconsistencies and « secrets » that were a little dragged out. I was expecting something bigger. It had a strong beginning but it felt like it was missing something that would have strengthened their story.

Sometimes wrongs do make a right. In this case, she really chose right. Right for her and for him, most especially for him.
I read this in one sitting. Made me cry, laugh and even made me call him a jerk but mostly made me like him even more.
Every one of Ms. Lane's books gets you drawn into the story and this one did not disappoint.

I have read Prescott Lane before and wasn't really impressed. This book was so emotional for me I teared up throughout the book. All the sadness self doubt, insecurities, they were making a great book. I loved how there were flashback chapters and male female POVs. It really made an amazing book.

This is a different kind of look into a side of drugs and the effect of dealing with the abandonment and keeping alive. Love slowly finds a way in thru the self preservation. You won't want to put this down.

This pairing all happened a little too fast for me.
Then the lies just dragged on too long.
The idea for the story was good but could have been so much more.

Paige comes from a very underprivileged and abusive childhood. She will protect and provide for baby Finn at all costs. She meets Slade on the night she is his fathers escort. He forcibly removes her from the function they are attending and returns to speak to her later. On finding she has a young baby he offers her a job.

The sexual tension is high and the secrets are thick with these two.... Eventually walls start crumbling and truths come to light.
