    This second book in this series is so much better than the first. If you have read the first book, consider it a rough opening start to this new wasteland series.

    This book still has that Mad Max, Red Sonja, meets Conan feel. The descriptions of both sex and violence are well described and vivid in detail. I have always wondered about the characters in this type of story, performing oral sex on someone that maybe bathes once a month or so. Yuck!

    There is more graphic violence and sex in this second book including forced, rough lesbian BDSM and female on female sex slavery.

    Nyx’s hair color changes twice in this book from a sandy blonde and then finally a bright blonde. At least the author is consistent in that Nyx’s hair remains blonde of some form.

    Weapon usage, particularly firearms, is a little bit weak, leaving me to believe that the author is not that familiar with personal firearms or crew served weapons. Cannon mounted to the back of a truck sounded like a blend of a recoilless rifle and small field cannon, perhaps an old breech loading three-inch from the First World War. This type of story trope should have improvised weapons, but only a fool with a death wish stands directly behind a cannon when firing.

    Nyx’s sword is described once as being rusty. No swordsman (or woman) that I know of would let their sword rust. I would think that Nyx would at least keep her weapon rust free. She has a whetstone, so she must have access to some light oil for preventing rust.

    good continuation from the first book my only real complaint is that it was so short lol please keep writing this series i will definatly be waiting for the next book im really not a fan of zombie books of any kind as i think there are way to overdone in our entertainment word books and movies both but i cant help but get drawn into your story so please keep them coming and i will keep readin

    Enjoying this but could do with a little bit more of a backstory added to it ie who rules what, whats known about the overall power, fuel etc.
    However i did enjoy the story and how the characters are interacting so shall carry on.

    I was lucky to beta read book 1 of this series and thought it was brilliant and couldnt wait for book 2. The wait was worth it. A city ruled by a queen who take female slaves as "wives" and has fancied Nyx for a long time, only to have her work into her trap. Another sword wielding female warrier who wants to free her sister and an ancient ship of unknow origins. You will find hard to put this book down

    Nero and Nix continue their journey, taking to the dried up ocean beds. We see threads of the plot weaving together, and more forming for future stories.

    The post apocalyptic adventure is interesting and I’m enjoying getting to know Nero and Nyx.
