    This is a 5/5. This is the story of Mike, a lion shifter, and Jake, a human. Jake has to take care of his brothers after their parents are killed. He gets a job working for Mike by chance. Mike discovers they are fated mates and starts to woo Jake. But he gets excited and his lion gets loose and scares Jake. So now the mate process has to be explained and Jake has to make sure his family is safe. I enjoyed this book and will look for the next one.

    I love these guys! Mike has finally met his match. For all of his grumpiness, Mike just wants what Hayden and Edward have found: his mate. When he meets the human hired to be his new assistant, he gets even more than he bargained for. Jake and Mike are true mates and now Jake does have to fight alone anymore to keep his brothers safe. I enjoyed this new book in the Satchel Pride series and must admit to being hooked. I can’t wait to see where this goes from here! (There is a bit of a cliffhanger, nothing bad but big things are on the horizon.)

    My heart aches for Jake. He’s been through so much at a young age. Mike is grumpy because his best friend is all loved up and he hasn’t found his mate yet. The chemistry in this book was wonderfully written. Also the sweet way they all find out about mpreg is adorable! Loved it!

I like to see their relationships as they develop. The ending of this one has me very interested in seeing what happens in the next book.

    Mike may be a bit grumpy but when he meets his human mate Jake all bets are off. Loved seeing him fall for not only Jake but his young brothers too. Jake ends up working for Mike when he tries to escape his old life and make a better life for his brothers. I love a good human discovers shifters story and this one excels at that. Jake is wary and surprised, but you can feel his trust and connection with Mike will not waiver. Standalone romance that is sweet and very strong, but I recommend reading as a series as well to get the full experience of the overarching arc and other characters that will keep growing on you.

    I’ve got to say, I’ve been wanting Mike’s HEA ever since Hayden’s book. I love Edward and Brian, but I really felt for Mike and how much he was hopeful his mate would come. I’m so glad he found Jake and his brothers, Sam and Abel. Mike deserved to find someone who was perfect for him and the family he was able to create with Jake was amazing. I have to admit, Hayden and Edward kind of annoyed me - they met their mate and just decided to leave their business and just dump all their responsibilities on Mike’s lap and then ignored how much he was struggling. The King of the pride should be better than that and Hayden should treat his best friend better than that. Plus, they barely did anything to allow Mike the time he needed with Jake. I expected a bit more from them but I’m willing to chalk it up to people make mistakes. Hopefully with the this new twist coming at us, we see a better more leader like response from them. I’m super intrigued as to the twist at the end of Mike and Jake’s story. I’m excited to see where it goes and I think it will make a rather amusing/fascinating story.
