If I could write a full easy on why I love this book, I 100% could. Did I wake up at 3am to download this book? Yes. This has been one of my most anticipated reads. I had to work at 11. I made it to 68% in two hours before work. That’s how much I ate it up loved it!First off I love Amara. I related to her so much with how she was always self conscious about her weight and not being good enough because of it. I really felt it in my soul. I love her cat pumpkin and how she’s a male hater. It makes it so much funnier, pumpkin is a true feminist. Jade is absolutely hilarious and is a best friend I would love to have in my corner. I love Nicholas so much he is a true book HUSBAND. The dirty mouth he has is sexy as hell, he’s funny, and the way he lets Amara spend his money and it makes him hard. I LOVE IT(evil voice) I hate Nicholas’ brother and the stuff he pulled with Amara. The way this book made me laugh, giggle, cry, and sweat because Jesus these two are hot. It got me feeling all the feels. There is nothing I didn’t like about it and I was hanging on to the words like no other. This was so much more than words on paper. Don’t expect me to shut up about this book anytime soon.

    Amara and Nic were a pretty fun read. Very hot and lots of chemistry and tension. I was here for the obsession of Nic over her. 🥵 He really was about making her see herself and give her what she deserves.

    There's a bit of plot, but it's not the focus, in my opinion. If you're looking for a good amount of story and spice, not sure this is going to tick both of those boxes. Definitely the spice box. My goodness, the spice box could be on fire.

    This is my first Stephanie Alves book and I gotta say…wow. This story has sibling rivalry, fun friends and a plus sized babe getting her back worked out by a billionaire dom. I really don’t know what else you need to know in order to read this. Amara’s inability to see her true beauty in the beginning is an all too familiar story for many folks living in plus sized bodies. Her gross ex didn’t help, with his negative comments but as with all good stories, he loses out and she learns to love to love herself.

    Nicholas is one of those MMC’s where you love him cause he’s the MMC. He’s sexy, rich, and loves the FMC the way she deserves but for much of the story I felt like he wasn’t really getting just how hard the whole situation was for her. I mean the optics themselves, but his spice and ability to realize where he went wrong while also fixing it, is really the thing I liked the most about him.

    Recommend to: someone looking for a plus size FMC and fake engagement with kinks.

    I stayed up way too late reading this one. The story moved along very well within the time limits of their arrangement. Every part of this story and the spice was very entertaining.

    The set up is, CEO needs to show the board he is a commitment kinda guy. What better way than to rope your assistant into a fake engagement.
    The MMC even has a contract written up to make sure they both get something out of the deal.
    Only problem, there was nothing in the contract about keeping business and pleasure separate.

    Once we find out how the MMC really feels about our plus size FMC I thought it was going to go quick.
    I was not expecting the build up that lead to their first time together.
    The FMC is a romantic at heart and shy. She has some body insecurities but it doesn’t hold her back. It takes her longer to get from fake to love but it’s understandable given the story.
    Her friend group is a good mix of personalities, adding to funny scenes that don’t include the MMC.
    There is also a cock blocking man hating cat that deserves honorable mention for his contribution to funny moments.

    The spice is VERY good in this book.. I love a good kink awakening. The MMC introduces our FMC into the world of kink one step at a time. Knowing when to push and pull back. He was perfect. Such a good dom. Made for some fun and very steamy scenes. MMC definitely knows how to worship the assistant he has lusted over for years. I love the way he makes her feel seen, confident and taken care of. The words that come out of that man’s mouth are dirty and delicious.

    I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to read this prior to release date as an ARC reader.

    Stephanie has entered her billionaire era and I am here for it. After reading the blurb, it was an automatic need. Nicholas was the perfect counterpart for Amara and the way he cared for her was perfection.

    Amara is healing after her ex cheated and mistreated her. She is internalizing that pain, putting on a brave face and trying to focus on getting back on her feet. Her life gets another shake up when her boss asks her to pretend to be his fiancé and with what he offers, she can’t say no.

    Nicholas is constantly trying to prove that he deserves his CEO position so when his image takes a hit, he is desperate to fix it. He decides to bring in his assistance for help since she is newly single and he has always felt an attraction towards her but kept things professional.

    As these two try to figure out their new dynamic especially when Amara moves in with him, they can’t deny the pull they feel towards each other. Let me tell you, when the spice gets going, I was literally blushing. These two were straight fire.

    This was a pretty low angst read with such a swoon worthy hero who just wants to cherish and spoil his heroine. I devoured this book so quickly and I hope that we continue in this world and get to see more of these two and their cat, pumpkin.

    Too spicy.

    What I liked the most was that there is not unnecessary drama. The third act break up is more like a third arc misunderstanding and I love that, because some authors abuse of the drama for that.

    The characters grow and talk and they evolve. Also she has a cat. A very sassy cat.
    Also he commands her to spend his money.
