As it remains, Earth’s denizens are largely unaware that a new species walks amongst them. In the wake of a laboratory accident—one that may have sealed man’s fate—those called ‘the Kindred’ were born. Each possessing singular powers, immature but menacing, the siblings share a human father...and alien DNA.
It’s yet to be seen whether these children wish to side with humanity or help facilitate the invasion coded in their genetic instructions, but one thing is frightfully clear: should they fall into sinister hands, the world won’t stand a chance.
As known to fewer still, this end-game scenario has already begun to play out, as several of the Kindred have been captured by a tyrannous sheik, and, unless something is done, it’s only a matter of time before the rest are hunted down. James and Pat will coordinate a rescue team like none ever seen, but, once inside the belly of the beast, all bets are off...
Deftly splicing story arcs while building tension ever-higher, sci-fi maven Bradford proves the sky is not the limit with a mesmerizing climax to the six-part FreeForm Series.

About the author

W. Bradford Swift has dedicated over three decades to a vibrant and fulfilling combo career that gracefully merges his twin passions: empowering authors as a Write On Purpose coach and weaving tales of eco-fiction as an indie author. With a portfolio of over thirty books, Swift's storytelling not only entertains but also enlightens readers about our intricate relationship with the environment, urging a collective shift towards more sustainable living.
His journey into authorship and coaching began from a profound realization of the power of words and stories to inspire change. As a Write On Purpose coach, Swift has been a guiding light for aspiring and emerging authors, helping them navigate the often daunting path from initial concept to published work. His coaching philosophy centers on the belief that writing with purpose not only fulfills a personal dream but can also make a significant impact on the world while creating a legacy for the author.
Swift's eco-fiction novels, characterized by their imaginative storytelling and deep ecological insights, reflect his commitment to environmental advocacy. Through his work, he invites readers into vividly crafted worlds that mirror our own, encouraging a deeper appreciation of nature and the urgent need for conservation.
Celebrating over 35 years at the intersection of creativity and coaching, Swift remains devoted to his dual calling. His legacy is not just in the stories he tells but in the writers he inspires to embark on their own journeys of purposeful creativity.
Swift lives in the “Paradise Found” of the North Carolina mountains with his wife and a menagerie of four-legged family members.

My overall rating for this book is 4.6 out of 5 stars.
There were several periodic punctuation issues: missing punctuation; too many extra commas (although not as many as in the previous book); and question marks used in place of a period at the end of a sentence that was definitely not a question (most were in the first half if I remember correctly). There were several wrong words used, not just a word that sounds like it but a word that was somewhat close in spelling but not really sounding the same – something that appeared to get a little more frequent in the last 15 or 20% of the book. There were also a few missed words here and there throughout the book. And there was one spot (but just that one spot) where I think the wrong character’s name was attributed to some dialogue.
That said, the story kept me hooked – even when I was falling asleep in my chair from super-long work days! (And those massively long work days meant that it took me several days longer to read through the story. ~grump~) That constant need to keep turning the page even as my eyes drifted closed against my conscious will bump my overall rating higher than it would have been otherwise. I enjoyed the overall ending of the story (so many lines coalesced and questions were answered), but the Epilogue gave me chills. And I smell either a new book in the series or a new series that has this and maybe some of his previous ones as background. Yay!
The few grammar and punctuation issues aside, I highly recommend the entire series. The author provides a summary at the beginning of this book not just of the story previous to it, but also of the first one in the series. For those who have gone a while since reading the last story, it’s a great way to get refreshed on the story to date. This is definitely a book that you want to read **after** having read the previous stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2017In the hands of The Sheik, a megalomaniac, the future looks somewhat bleak for the five Kindred held by him.
Elsewhere Dr. Chikovsky and Petri decides it is time to offer the genetic template for sale to The Sheik as well.
Willow gets ordered to capture Thabitha, Mel and Kirstin after the discovery of where these three Kindred are hiding.
Alp takes the momentous decision to have herself handed over to The Sheik as well in an effort to get the Kindred released in a daring raid against major odds.
It certainly seems like events are all accellerated towards a cataclysmic finale, or is it?
The conclusion to this trilogy leaves many issues unresolved and it is clear this trilogy is due to be expanded and veering into a completely new and unexpected direction with even more intriguing characters having been introduced into the plot,
Todd and Pat primarily.
The twists and revelations that emerge in Seeds of a New Earth is startling. Enjoy.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2017Arrived at the end only to find no ending. There are other books intertwined with this storyline which feature characters found in this one, so I'll have to explore those, but this story cuts off right after throwing some new thread into the weave and then leaving most dangling. Argh! Interesting, though, with a little bit of everything seems like in the mix. Some grammar and punctuation/wrong word problems, but enough incentive to keep going. Looking forward for the next installment!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2017Great read! Loved the adventure.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2016Seeds Of A New Earth is Speculative fiction at its best. This novel is a fast-paced thriller and has a lot of seat-of-your-pants action. There are a few surprising twists and turns in the plot that I wasn't expecting, and the story line stays compelling from beginning to end. This novel will appeal to both young adult audiences and an older generation as well since it features younger characters (the biologically-enhanced children known as The Kindred) and also their older counterparts (such as Flip, The Kindred's father, and Todd who helps to rescue The Kindred). There are a few violent scenes so if you're squeamish, you may want to skip those parts, and I also highly recommend that you read the first two books in the series before starting this one so that you have some background information.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2016Bradford writes another good book! The author has one of the most fertile imaginations around. (No Spoilers!!) This story has good guys, bad guys, and some who are not sure what they are. There are evil plots afoot, yet people with the abilities to foil them. There are even budding relationships contained within the pages of this story. Things move rather quickly, and you may be more comfortable with what's going on if you've read the previous books, but it's not hard to keep up with the story or action. (There are enough "sidebar" explanations to fill in the gaps.) Another completely enjoyable book by the author. Recommended!
I received an early copy in exchange for an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2016Well written. Will keep you interested and wanting more, right to the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2016Unfortunately I haven't read the first two books in this series, but the author did a great job making it stand on its own. I'm definitely going to find and read the first two soon.
The characters were well thought out, they seemed almost too real in fact, though I really hope that nothing like this is going on in the world.
The plot was great, action filled and yet fully formed, unlike so many books I read that are all action and no plot. The world is fully formed and easy to imagine.
I recommend this book without reservations.

3.0 out of 5 stars worth reading
Getting a bit predictable. But will keep going.
