Purchase options and add-ons
One night at the circus can change everything...
Bunny Reed is a poor poet just trying to make ends meet. When she attends a strange pop-up circus attraction in New York City all she's looking for is a fun time.
Alex, Eddie, and Spencer work for the circus as clowns, and when they see Bunny sitting in the front row of the audience one night, something about her draws them in.
Bunny begins a whirlwind relationship with the men but she can sense there's a hidden darkness to them. When they confide in her that they actually work as hitmen who target sexual predators at first Bunny is horrified, but when her own abusive ex shows up to hunt her down she decides it's time to send in the clowns.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWords like rich and decadent are maybe more popular, but I'd say bright and sickly sweet are more appropriate, the lights, the laughter, the smeared cream makeup and blood, the fear the arousal, the bursting through boundaries like melons too ripe to hold more water, the lessons and the love. It was a difficult story. Not to read it was so easy to become lost in these pages, but difficult to face as the reality of knowing just how hard these disabilities can be. The wonder of it being so accepted and normalized by partners, the joy of seeing them push beyond what is comfortable for them to make it possible for her, of being on a course and having one of your trio say *we have to change directions if we want to keep her, we have to make our lives a world built for her so she can live here with us* and then having everyone do that. It doesn't mean you can't be rough. It means you have to temper that roughness with the knowledge of the flares and rhythms of a disease that seems discordant in a world of able bodies.
I am disabled as well, and this spoke to me. Thank you for that.
I'm a survivor and this spoke to me. Thank you for that.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this. As someone with chronic pain and a long list of problems with my back that led to me becoming disabled, I really connected with Bunny. I liked the bits of poetry scattered throughout the book.
I will admit to being a little mad at the author for making me want three morally gray, attractive, bisexual clowns of my own ;) ♥
(Please note that I am just kidding about being mad at the author)

Very well written and fun! Definitely NOT for teens or kids
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAn erotic novel with a delightfully absurd premise that delivers wild, fun, and surprising events, while at the same time serving up serious insight into the hardships of living with a physical disability. Bunny undergoes powerful changes, allowing herself to be loved, embracing her sexuality, and moving through her past trauma.
. . .
Who knew clowns could be so hot?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2023Format: KindleFans of Likovich will already know how well she writes quirky dark romances, but this book highlights how beautifully poetic her writing can be while staying in the genre.
Touching on themes of abuse, grief, and disability, parts of this book left me speechless with how powerful and important the messages are. Not to mention Bunny’s/Likovich’s poetry itself which is so moving.
You’ll get completely swept away by these clowns! The action kept me on the edge of my seat and the spice was spicy while accommodating Bunny’s comfort.
**all opinions are my own.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2023Format: KindleAnother beautifully crafted, dark, whimsical world created by Molly Likovich. I’ve been looking forward to this book for many months, and it did not disappoint. I don’t want to say much about it, as I think it’s the best experience to just be along for the ride with this story (check TW, of course).
