This is the third time I have read the series of the Volkov Bratva Series. I love the brothers and their stories. I believe Zoe Beth Geller could make a series if she added the Italians with the Volov mobs. Let the women all come together and perhaps save the men. I wait for awhile and reread them.
Each time I forget the first book is a cliff hanger and it ends with the third book. I am glad I always wait for an author to finish the series.

Maybe running away from your wedding can have some benefits. Like finding a smoking hot man that is willing to rage war for you.

Dasha Kozlov is 21 and has barely seen the outside world. Her father used to let her go to school then one day pulled her from it and kept her locked up like Repunzal. The only difference is she at least gets to leave her room and has a friend she can talk to over the phone and occasionally visit. But other than that, she's trapped and yearning for her freedom. That is until her father tricks her into marring one of his business colleagues, and instead of walking down the aisle she flees, right into the arms of the enemy. Roman Volkov lives and breathes the Bratva. He doesn't love and doesn't believe he deserves love. But when he sees this innocent woman running from her own wedding, he finds it comical and helps her escape. Little did he know it was his enemy's daughter. He thought she was of some importance but not that much. He cares for her like no one has and takes her on an adventure worthy of a woman who is loved. Only so much can happen when you're on a yacht together, sharing a room & bed.

Dasha and Roman's relationship was slightly comical and sweet all at the same time. She's a feisty firecracker and knew when to pick her battles. She doesn't really care for much in this world, just her brothers really, so when she started to have feelings for Roman everything changed. He kept claiming he was a monster and an evil person, and she believed him because he's in the same line of work as her dad. But as the days go on, she realizes she's mistaken and he's nothing like her father. Yeah, he may do bad things, but with her, he's the complete opposite. He makes her feel safe and protected. And she makes Roman break down his ice walls and actually accepts and feels love.

This dark mafia romance was something different for me. In most dark mafia books, I've read there's a lot more war and violence and you see more of the in-depth side of the mafia world, but in this book, you mostly get it in the ending. And I like that about this book, the way the author built this story it works for her. You see the Bratva work in the beginning and end, but very little in the middle. And the middle is the sweet and loving side of this story where you watch these characters grow and love!

Sinful Promise is book 3 in the Volkov Bratva Series by Zoe Beth Gellar.
Sadly, I have not read the previous books in this series. Although I felt like this was easy to read as a stand-alone, I enjoyed it so much that I plan on going back and reading the first two.
Dasha has lived a very sheltered life as the daughter of a mafia man. As awful as her life is, she finds out it is about to get much worse when she is told she must marry her fathers boss.
Roman Volkov is the youngest brother in the Volkov family. He was to handle a shipment of guns that was stolen.  When he finds out the man responsible is likely the same man responsible for murdering his father, he sets out to gain intel. What he doesn't expect is to intercept a runaway bride.
At first, Roman is not sure who Dasha is to his enemy, only that she needs help, and hopefully, she may prove useful in the future. Roman, Dasha, and Alex, Romans' right-hand man, set off on an adventure/vacation. Roman and Dasha both want things from each other, but what they find is much more. Roman, who has never had any interest in a relationship, finds himself having feelings for Dasha, and she starts feeling confident and bold with this new world she is being exposed to. Of course, they both know that their enemy is coming and danger is imminent. Mafia romance is my favorite trope, so it better be good for me to like it. This one just worked for me. The plot was well thought out and executed. There was incredible chemistry. There was plenty of action and suspense, and the supporting characters were awesome. The locatioin settings throughout the book were another great element. I always LOVE when there is no unnecessary third act break up!!

Overall, if you love mafia romance like I do, give this one a try. I was impressed with this author and look forward to reading more of her books.

Dasha is 21 and a prisoner and servant in her house. If she's allowed to go out, she is tracked but isn't aware and has a curfew. Her dad tells her she is to be married off to a guy who's corrupt and will treat her even worse than what she has now. At the church she escapes and runs out the door and runs past two guys.

Roman Volkov is 26 and the youngest of the three brothers. He was to handle a shipment of guns that was stolen and now he wants revenge but not to start a war. When he finds out who stole them he heads out to gain intel but didn't expect to see a runaway bride and then offer to help her.

Roman isn't sure who Dasha is but realizes she has something to do with the group he is following. He takes her to his yacht to keep her safe. He finds out her groom is the one who killed his father and of course he wants him dead. The more he's around her the more he wants to protect her and not let her go. Their chemistry is off the charts.
