USA Today Bestselling Author

Barbara Hinske is an attorney who left the practice of law to pursue her career as a full-time novelist. She inherited the fiction gene from her father, who wrote mysteries when he retired and told her a story every night of her childhood. Barbara is the author of the beloved Rosemont Series, the Guiding Emily Series, the Paws & Pastries Series, her sweet Christmas stories, the mystery, thriller, and suspense novels in her "Who's There?" collection, and three novellas in The Wishing Tree Series.

She and her husband share their own Rosemont with two adorable and spoiled dogs. She is besotted with decorating, entertaining, cooking, and gardening. Her novels The Christmas Club (2019) and Guiding Emily (2023) have been made into Hallmark Channel movies.

Praise for Coming to Rosemont:

"In a category that doesn't often feature felonious crimes as a main plot point, it's somewhat surprising to see this title -- with corruption, fraud, and arson coursing through the story -- in a list of top performers. But with enough twists and turns to hook any reader's attention, an adorable dog on the cover, and some classic women's fiction tropes, Coming To Rosemont delivered more than enough firepower to win over our readers!" BookBub's Best: Women's Fiction (#4)

"In this series opener, Hinske immerses readers in a delightful small town....The joys of the tale come from the warm relationships and the story of a woman getting a second chance at life and love." Publishers Weekly (BookLife)

Snowflakes, Cupcakes & Kittens is another great book!

Snowflakes, Cupcakes & Kittens is another great book!
Snowflakes, Cupcakes & Kittens is Book 3 in the Paws & Pastries Series by Barbara Hinske. If you love heartwarming stories set in small towns with great friends (who are like family), fur babies (who ARE family), and a sprinkling of drama you will love this new series! Clara Conway has found the love of her life in Kurt Holbrook after leaving her cheating ex-husband and settling down in the small town of Townwood. Clara had planned to just pass through, but car trouble and fate landed her in Townwood where she met Josef, Maisie, Kurt and her new puppy Noelle. Clara has always wanted to open a patisserie (a French pastry shop) after visiting one in France while in high school. Her dream is about to come true with her grand opening of Sweet and Treats scheduled on Valentine’s Day and afterwards a romantic dinner with Kurt! Sadly a blizzard is headed their way and everyone in Pinewood is trying to prepare just in case they are snowed in. At home Ian (Clara’s young neighbor), heads over to take care of Noelle while everyone is in town preparing for the blizzard. Unfortunately, Noelle is nowhere to be found and Ian sets out to find her just as the blizzard is descending on Townwood. Since I am not one to retell the story, or give spoilers, I will leave it there. As with all of Barbara Hinske’s books this newest one did not disappoint, I loved it as much as all her others. If you love small towns, furry friends, a bit of real-life drama, and a sprinkling of sweet romance you are going to love this one too!

This is such a wonderful series! It’s light reading that is so entertaining and fulfilling. Great characters continue to be introduced. While I realize it’s fiction, it shows how fate is such a part of life, and if you listen for the cues, you know when you are where you are supposed to be. Good job!

Clara Conway is putting the finishing touches on her new shop, romance with Kurt Holbrook is going well, her friend Maise has recovered from her heart attack and life is great. That is until an unexpected blizzard happens in Pinewood and Ian and Noelle are lost. Once again Barbara Hinske brings us a warm loving story.

Lots going on in this 3rd in the series book. Clara’s divorce is finalized & Clara is getting ready to open Sweets & Treats. There are some bumps in the road with Noelle, great grandmother Tabitha & a big snowstorm to complicate things. It’s another sweet but exciting read read that I couldn’t put down until finished.

This may have been my favorite book in the series. There's romance, suspense, and a little drama. Love all of the strong women in this book and their drive to find their purpose.

I love the Paws & Pastries series by Barbara Hinske. It needs to be read in order of publication since the main story continues through to the end of book 3. Hinske is a talented writer and excellent storyteller. The main characters are warm and inviting. While the main events in these books come to a satisfying conclusion at the end of Snowflakes, Cupcakes & Kittens, I would love to read more stories about the Pinewood community she has created.
