Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

Adaline loves to write strong sassy heroines who bring alpha males to their knees. She enjoys sprinkling breadcrumbs that lead to the twists and turns in a book. She has been known to leave a reader on a cliff hanger or two.

She lives with her husband, daughter and bonkers dog, in the not so sunny but scenic, Lake District, England.

When she’s not writing or listening to the characters running rampant in her head, you can find her failing to grow tomatoes or reading anything romance - particularly books with strong heroines who drive alpha males insane.

Do we really know our fairytales? Loved this book!

Do we really know our fairytales? Loved this book!
"For everyone who dreams of a knight, but needs a dragon." In a land far, far away, but not too far away - chaos unfolds whenever Daphne Stone is near. And in the never-ending fairytale replay, when her dearest sister, Gwyneth foot mysteriously fits Prince Charming's shoe this go around, it brings forth a new future for Daphne and her sister. This book started off a bit everywhere, but soon, once you got the idea of where the author was headed, I couldn't stop turning the pages and laughing at the innuendos. When we are introduced to the Stirling brothers...my oh my, Nash, Malachi, Theo and Hart bring the heat and I am so excited for this RH! (Yay Adaline!!!!) This world is filled with all the fairytales you can imagine. Only these characters live in that world and with every completion of each story, it starts brand new all over again while the people among them, live on with their lives. But behind every HEA, lives a darkness, we don't always know about. Daphne is made aware of this and is determined to not only save her sister from a loveless, manipulated future but to save all of the other beings put into this situation. "Watch out, Idols, the Stone sisters are coming for you." With chaos and calamities with each step Daphne takes, and four fearsome Knights at her back - Will she save her sister from a fate worse than death? Will she be eaten by the big bad dragon all of the damsels seem to be on strike over? Will Prince Charming or King Arther let her live another day when they realize she is still alive? Is everything in the water after her? Goodness! I loved this book so much! The author did such an amazing job at creating this world of fairytales and weaving them altogether. Not only that, but offering us a side to the HEA that definitely makes us second guess our true happiness with these stories. lol. I caught myself laughing out loud too much and I just absolutely loved the character of Daphne! The guys were all perfect and I will definitely be looking forward to more of them in book two. "If I am the night, then she is the sun. Together, we can conquer the realm." "She is an anomaly, born of myth and legend. The dragon tamer is a fairy tale told to damsels to give them hope. No one can tame a dragon, not a knight, nor a pretty damsel." *Overall 5/5 *Heat? 3/5 *Med/Slow Burn *First person POV (Daphne only) *MFMMM Trope (No MM) *Ends on cliffhanger!

A surprisingly good read. I love this twist on fairytales. This realm is made up of our worlds tales and fables. There is a dark side to all of the tales that commoners are not told about. Daphne Stone and her sister are taken away by Prince Charming because Gwyneth, the sister, foot fit the glass slipper. They soon find out that the shoe was magically changed to fit Gwyneth because Charming wants her. She does not want him because he is a terrible person. Daphne is kind, strong willed, and walking chaos. She meets the Sterling brothers and the story takes off. The Sterling's are the son's of King Arthur. The Stone sisters and the Sterling's want to survive and make their weird world better. So interesting and a quick read.

First, the pros; funny, fast paced and creative. I liked the characters and the fairy tale lands and people. Also; sisterhood for the win!

Now, the cons; While this story is amusing, I ran into far too many echoes of Curse of the Gods, including accidentally stabbing the one she was sent to steal from! And in our favorite green oger movie and you’ve got this tale. Fortunately, I like both …. But it still caught me far too often.

A cute take on fairy tales that have an ending and dark side much different than what we read as a child. It was interesting with a cliffhanger to flow into the next novel.

Wicked is the first installment in the adult fantasy romance series, Legends of the Hallows, by Adaline Winters and it was simply spellbinding! The plot was unique, fascinating, and captivated my interest immediately🥀🐉

This story is brimming with enchanting world building, incredible characters, insatiable steam, and wicked fairy tale retellings with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! The author perfectly interweaves multiple fairy tales into this novel while creating an idiosyncratic and immersive world for readers to experience.

🐉I genuinely loved the characters in this story and their well developed relationships as the plot unfolds. Our female main character, Daphne Stone, is witty, sarcastic, street smart, incredibly brave, entirely uncoordinated, and absolutely hilarious! I honestly can not remember the last time I laughed so much! I adored Daphne and Gwyneth’s relationship and their attempt to delicately balance one another in the most heartfelt and hilarious ways. Their utter devotion to one another indeed pulls on the heartstrings a bit as this installment comes to a close.

🥀The romances that slowly develop in this story are a slow burn yet steamy, and are filled with all the tension and witty banter that I love. We get a little bit of all of my favorite traits in the four love interests in this book….A possessive MMC, a grumpy MMC, a dangerously handsome MMC, and a deliciously tantalizing MMC.

🐉I highly recommend Wicked to those who enjoy romance, fantasy romance, fantasy, and fairy tale retellings.

This was a great twisty read.
Enough romance for a brief moment but really the basis of the story was great with the darker side of fairytales coming through.

This book was so funny but in a cringy way that I loved it even more! I’m in desperate need of the next book 🔥

I love the fact that Daphne handles everything with positivity when something happens to her. I love the sister bond they have and that Daphne would do anything for Gwenyth like saving her at her own ball.

I loved the jokes and the twist of words Daphne used I just couldn’t get enough of her and her inner dialogue but again when would we know it’s inner dialogue when she word vomits 😂

The four knights oh how they are of individual character and have their own persona and I love Nash for taking the first step and it was endearing from Hart that he eventually gave in his desire for Daphne.

The spicy scenes are build up so no sex with anyone but they love to pleasure her! And she even gives it back to on of the knights which shows her insecurities due to not knowing what to do but they are so supportive that she regains her confidence even in the bedroom with them.

I do have to say in the beginning you have to get used to the clumsiness and honesty from Daphne with how she uses words but eventually you get the hang of it and can’t wait to hear more of her.

Wow! This was so good. It had so much. I loved the world building so much. And Ms. Winters was true to her name and left us with a HUGE cliffhanger that I can NOT stop thinking about. Overall, I absolutely loved the journey and can't wait to get my hands one the future books. Kuddos to another story marvellously done.

This book had all the elements, humor, sadness, angst, romance, sibling bond (WOW). The guys, so hot. I loved them. I loved the chemistry between all the characters in the book, may it be the villain or the main characters.

Daphne is so clumsy and hilarious. Her inner dialogues (and some spoken without her intention) made my day. I loved the freshness of the character. I rarely see any like Daphne. She is such a strong-willed girl, ready to revolutionize the world. And I loved how supportive the guys were of her. I absolutely enjoyed the relationship between Daphne and Gwyneth. The best sister duo ever! And the Stirling brothers, chef kisses, so good. They are hot and mysterious and just plain addictive. I loved them and the angst.

All the twists and turns, especially about Theo, mind blown. But I loved everything about the book and am reaady for Tangled.

Highly recommended to all fairy tale lovers and romanasy devourers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique, hilarious, RH fairy tale mash up. 6/5 stars!

This author has once again crafted a world that I fell completely in love with. Wicked is an extraordinary tale, unique to anything that I've read before. I've read fairytale retellings but this book is in a league of its own. It is incredible. It's a laugh out loud kinda read, and yet you still get absorbed into the plot with you mind racing with the possibilities.
Words do not cover how much I've loved reading Wicked. It's given me a reprieve from real life, letting me get lost within this world, and made me laugh whilst I've been struggling to. This book will always hold a special place in my heart because of what it's given me. I hope if you read this book, it gives you the same kinda joy it gave me.

Daphne is the funniest heroine I've ever come across, clumsy and yet so endearingly funny with it. The things she says and does, will have you crying with laughter. Regardless of her clumsy ways, she's relatable and when it comes to loving her food... She reminds me of myself. Daphne's knights have each carved their own special places in my heart, I'd be adamant that one is my favourite but within a few chapters, I'm ready to claim another of her knights. I will say Nash holds a bigger space in my heart and my fantasies. The man is FIIIIIIIIINE. Although slow burn, I was salivating and hot, with the sensual moments they share. I loved them.
The cliffhanger I have no words for, but I need the next book. I'll be checking online for updates trying to ease my chaotic mind that is spinning with the thoughts of what'll happen next. I know the book hangover will be a tough one to overcome after reading this.
This author is phenomenal, you can't go wrong with any of her books, and I will say that say that you'd never have thought that this was her first RH book. The way she brought these characters to life, objects or not, and the relationship development was done amazingly.
If you are a lover of the RH/WhyChoose trope, romcoms or just wanting something so completely original, then this book is a must read.

Absolutely no idea where the story is going but I need the next book to hurry up!

It’s funny, quirky and a great twist on traditional fairy tales.
