Purchase options and add-ons
Get ready for the thrilling conclusion to P.G. Robertson's Saltwater Crimes Trilogy and the return of the captivating Detective Ange Watson.
After the messy Gold Coast affair, Ange is certain that the syndicate has eyes and ears everywhere, thwarting her every move. Forced south to Sydney, Ange soon picks up the trail of her deadly nemesis. It seems that drug trafficking isn’t the only game in town!
With the help of her colleagues and an unlikely ally, Ange dives into the murky world of cryptocurrency and NFTs, exploring the dangerous waters where crime, technology and power collide. Hiding in plain sight, she uncovers a web of criminal activity that reaches the highest echelons of society.
Ange lays everything on the line, striving to draw the brilliant mastermind out into the open, even as she faces threats and attempts to silence her. Surrounded by uncertainty and betrayed by those she trusts, Ange sets in motion a daring and ingenious plan to uncover the truth.
From the beginning until to the explosive end, everything is connected—it always had been…
“The Saltwater Crime novels are evocative Australian surf noir (if that’s not a thing, it should be), a cross between Garry Disher and early Don Winslow, and combine environmental activism, political corruption, star chamber hearings, suspicious property developers, and a few sexy bits. Highly recommended!!” Sarah Elks, book reviewer and senior journalist at The Australian newspaper.

About the author

After growing up in a small Australian coastal town, I studied mathematics and physics at university before founding several successful businesses in a variety of fields. Having never held a proper job, I consider myself uniquely unemployable!
Sport has been a constant companion, where I have played tennis at a high level, a scratch golfer and an experienced surfer, angler, and hiker. I also volunteer considerable time to sport, primarily because I believe it is good for body and soul, helping bring people together to bridge diversity.
Covid, and the curtailment of everything, saw time to kill. My fixation on writing novels caught me by surprise. I find it exhilarating to disappear with my characters into imagined scenes, building a maze for my readers to discover. My family call me the blue heeler, the dog who needs constant activity lest he drive everyone crazy. I can be like that, obsessively focussed on the task at hand.
I hope my novels elevate Australian culture, with an optimistic and often humorous portrayal of life in regional and coastal towns. When I needed a hero, Ange came naturally, an amalgam of friends and people who I admire. I hope you like Ange as much as I like my friends.
A love of travel and being cast adrift in foreign or remote locations is a constant source of inspiration. I like to challenge the reader on topical issues and current events to help give a sense of Australia—with some drama thrown in to make life interesting.
I currently live in Brisbane with my remarkable wife, old cars, and sporting equipment. Now that our three wonderful children have largely flown the coop, I remain perplexed at where that time went.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2025Suggest reading from book 1, it is definitely worth it! All the good characters are so good & the bad characters are so bad. Be patient with the surfing if you aren't a surfer because I have found it truly interesting even if I have never suffered and love the insights of the law enforcement and exposing the corrupt!! On to book 4!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Digging deeper
The storyline moves rapidly amid wonderful descriptive scenes, leaving a real desire to maintain the companionship of the leading characters and to get to know the locations in person. Never banal, well researched and often explanatory, this latest book in the Saltwater Crimes' series touched on many current complex aspects of our technological lifestyles, illustrating the difficulties of traditional governing bodies in keeping up with and harnessing the digital manipulative skills of financial IT users and criminals today. Another pageturner that kept me reading till the early hours of the morning!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow final book in an amazing 3 book series! Well done PG Robertson!
Do yourself a favour and purchase the 3 book series by PG Robertson. I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good detective story with a strong but relatable heroine, who loves the great outdoors, especially the beaches and surfing and is keen to visit, or who has grown up on, the east coast of Australia. PG Robertson describes the cities and coastal towns beautifully and you feel like you are riding the wave with Ange in the surfing scenes.
Well done PG Robertson!

5.0 out of 5 stars It all comes together nicely, but the door is open for more
After binge reading books 1 and 2, I couldn’t wait to find out how it all came together. While satisfied with the ending, I was pleased to see PG Robertson left the door open for more to come. I really enjoyed this series. So entertaining, and learned some stuff too, highly recommend this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars disappointing the bad guys got away
A well written trilogy which well described a number of great locations in Australia. I guess I like happy endings but the books reflect reality, like it or not.
