    This was by far my favorite of the books.

    The lines are drawn and war is brewing. We get to see the rising Terran Foundation struggle to rise to be able to stand against the Accord.

    Amanda gets to throw her weight around a little more and cut loose which is something I have been waiting for and look forward to seeing even more in the coming books!

    Dobell sticks with the political aspects that give this series some older Space Opera feel but also bring in more of the more common aspects of Space Operas with futuristic tech and cool space ships. Though there is also Dobell's personal spin on it with his original take on Magic systems and battles in space.

    There is some heartbreak with losses, which I don't want to spoil with saying who but it adds more realism to the fact this is a war.

    Lastly, the story is done well and continues to move us towards what will undoubtedly being an awesome finale in a couple of books!
