    I absolutely loved these characters! Braden was the first real man Bella dated—unlike the boy who cheated on her. Even though they started as friends with benefits, he showed her what a relationship should be. Their chemistry, banter, and emotional depth made this book impossible to put down!

    While this is book 3 in the series, it is the first book I have read by Sarah Smith, but it won't be my last! I found the book to be well written and I fully enjoyed the story. This story follows Bella who is trying to put her life back together after her break up with her cheating ex. She swore off hockey players not wanting to go down that route again. Then she meets her neighbor Braden who is a hockey player. The tension between Braden and Bella is undeniably hot! Despite Bella swearing off hockey players she can't get enough of Braden. Neither are looking for a relationship so they decide to keep things casual and just be each other's hook-ups. How long will this arrangement last before they start falling for each other? This book is very very spicy!

    Trigger warning: parental disapproval, cheating (off page, not between MCs)

    I have been WAITING for my boy Blomdahl's book since the game of Truth or Dare in Chapter 27 of Fake as Puck (book one) and I'm so glad he's finally here! Imagine my surprise when he turns out to be a GIANT cinnamon roll (like, literally he BAKES cinnamon rolls) and yet is a naughty boy behind closed doors. He was a super sweet MMC and just the perfect match for Bella who needed someone that was all in after her last relationship. Bella was such a refreshing FMC. I love a girl who knows what she wants and isn't scared or embarrassed to ask for it (if ya know what I mean.....) and Bella has no hesitation in asking for what she wants. I love to see it.

    I've said it in every review of each book of this series and I'll say it again. Coach Porter is the best. It was fun once again to return to the Basher's world. I love the found family vibe and the way these teammates and their partners are, more than anything, friends who love and support one another in all things. When I want happy and feel good, the Basher's world is a good place to be.

    I was vibin' really hard in the first 75% or so of the book. The last 25% is a RIDE. SO much happens in the last 80 or so pages. Knowing that there was no 3rd act break-up, I even had a comment that said, "There's 80 pages left. What still happens?" Well, the answer, dear reader, is A LOT. BUT, it all happens SO simply. Like, it really is MC gets a phone call and the person they have conflict with magically realizes they were in the wrong after all this time and apologizes and we all sail off into the sunset. Like, don't get me wrong, it didn't make me dislike this book. It just was a lot of build up and plot points all wrapped up super perfectly in a little bow. I think I would have found it more realistic if one hadn't ended up resolving happily or even if one of the conflicts had been cut out all together.

    Overall, I think this is worth a read. Don't expect something that's going to get you into your moody feels. If you like a good sports romance and just want to have a good, low-angst time, give this, and the rest of the Basher's world, a shot.

    What I Love:
    - Nicknames, I'm a sucker for a cute nicknames and this book delivers
    - Bashers, I love all of the guys on the team and how they support each other and their ladies
    - Spicy, Braden and Bella start their relationship off with hook ups and it just gets hotter from there
    - Maizie, one night the two of them find a puppy and decide to co-parent her and its just so sweet
    - Support, throughout this book these two support/stand up for each other multiple times and I love seeing a strong relationship like that
    - Lucas, Braden meets him during an event for the team and I just adore the friendship between the two

    If you can't tell I absolutely adored this book. Braden and Bella's story starts off a bit rocky but it makes the development of their relationship all the more fun and exciting. If you are looking for a spicy sports romance with amazing characters, rules that meant to be broken, and a puppy then this is the book for you! Bonus its part of a series and all of the books are *chefs kiss*
