Dear Reader,
Thank you for visiting my book page.
I write contemporary fiction and like to weave stories about family, friendship – especially intergenerational friendships, secrets and community. My characters often face challenges along the way as we do in real life. But what I hope I bring with my fiction is a feelgood factor once you reach the end of the story, a sense of hope and positivity no matter what my characters have been through.
Location is a big part of my writing too and I love to give my readers different settings to choose from. My books have so far been set in the Cotswolds, England’s east coast, New York and Australia.
I hope you decide to read my books and as always, I’d love to hear from you.
Best wishes,
Helen x

About the author

Helen Rolfe writes contemporary women's fiction and romantic fiction. She enjoys weaving stories about real women and their real lives, family, friendship, secrets, and relationships.
Helen loves creating village settings or places with a small-town feel and a big sense of community. Location has always been a big part of the adventure in Helen's books and she enjoys setting stories in different cities and countries around the world. So far, locations have included Melbourne, Sydney, New York, Connecticut, Bath, Paris and the Cotswolds.
Helen has added Dorset to her list of locations with the launch of Come Fly With Me, set in the fictitious town of Whistlestop River. Come Fly With Me is the first book in Helen's brand new series centred around an air ambulance team, the Skylarks, who take to the skies to save lives.
Born and raised in the UK, Helen graduated from University with a business degree and began working in I.T. This job took her over to Australia where she eventually turned her attentions back to the career she'd dreamt of since she was fourteen. She studied writing and journalism and wrote articles for women's health and fitness magazines. Helen began writing fiction in 2011 and hasn't missed the I.T. world one little bit... in fact she may just have found her dream job!
You can find Helen on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. She loves to hear from her readers!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2023I wanted to move to this little village myself! The people sounded nice, the village was cute and the guy was sexy. Recommend this enjoyable book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2023Aww, Morgan and Nate were such sweeties!
Morgan came back to Little Woodville to take care of her very ill mother, who then passed away. Morgan had had a difficult relationship with her mother, so they made memories whilst Morgan was looking after her. She is enjoying living in Little Woodville despite the tough circumstances which caused her to come back, but she has a fiance waiting for her in Edinburgh.... She also has boxes and boxes of things that her mother used to sell at the local markets.
Nate came back to Little Woodville to spend more time with his dad. He also has a garage full of wooden products which he has made.
Both Morgan and Nate become stallholders at the markets and as their friendship gets stronger, their respective pasts come into play. And then there is the little fact that Morgan has a fiance whose patience is starting to run out.
Lovely story, not sugary sweet, which I always appreciate.
4.5 stars from me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2023I really was drawn to the cover of the book, it's so beautiful. I am thinking I would love to go there for a little r and r. I just love Helen Rolfe' books. They are the perfect escapist reads and I try not to miss any of them. A little cottage in the beautiful setting of the Cotswolds sounds so ideal. Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage is part of the charming, Little Woodville Cottage Series of which it is the second book. Christmas at Snowdrop Cottage is the first book . It came out last year in July. In Summer at Forget-Me-Not Cottage, you will be welcomed back to Little Woodville with open arms. Visit old friends and make new in this new summer escapist read. The heart of the book is family and how important it is. The book is so lovingly written, the characters friends you could easily and comfortably laugh with over a cup of tea. I'll be on the lookout for more books in this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2024What a fun read. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to know about the feel of a small town and the lovely people who live there.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2023A sweet and cozy stoy . The story is about Morgan and how she spent almost the past year taking care of her sick mother before she died . She drop everything to be there for her mom and she doesn't regret it . Now she has to clean up the house so it can be sold so she can go to Scotland where her fiance is waiting for her . But she is not sure if she wants to leave Little Woodville and the stall in the Saturday market . Nate is visiting his father and trying to convince him to come live with him in Wales . The first person he meets on his walk is Morgan and he feels for an instant connection but he can't do anything because she is engaged . Nate used to work with wood and now he wants to sell all his crafts at the markets . So he and Morgan share the same stall on the market . Will Morgan choose to hear her heart and have a life in Forget Me Not cottage ?
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .

5.0 out of 5 stars Second book heartfet
Morgan and nate was both suffering with grief and both blaming them self and running away so as not to deal with the problem but fate had other ideas.
Great writing from this author and keep you interested in the book.
Long chapter is my only negative as I perfect short chapter in case I am having a quick read between my day.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed reading this book up to about 3/4 way through. After that it got silly when Morgan realised she had feelings for Nate, and decided she didn’t want to move to Edinburgh and broke off her engagement to Ronan (who was already in Scotland) but decided not to tell anyone, but continued wearing her ring. Even when Nate asked her when she’d be going she didn’t tell him, but kept up the charade by having an interview with the Edinburgh company, but not telling him that was the head office but her job would be somewhere nearer. Then she took off to Scotland without a word, (even though they shared the market stall) and he found out from the neighbor! for me that spoiled the tone of the book. Then she came back, thinking he had gone back to Wales, but when she saw him expected him to be all happy, still thinking she was engaged. Was she just going to let him go back to Wales.
Didn’t make sense. Otherwise it was a lovely sequel to Snowdrop Cottage, and the usual residents were still a delight.

Sweet book nice story, could do with another editor review. Names confused a number of times Trevor written where context hinted it should have said Jeremy

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay
A pleasant read but a bit boring. The author needs a new story line since both of the Woodville books are very similar.
