It's All Sun and Games: The hilarious, sun-drenched romantic comedy from MILLION COPY BESTSELLER Portia MacIntosh Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 2,922 ratings

The laugh-out-loud, love triangle summer romantic comedy from MILLION-COPY BESTSELLER Portia MacIntosh!

When Robin finds out she's going on a work trip to Italy she can't wait for a week away in the sunshine, away from the daily grind. So what if there's a client pitch to do while they're there? The thing Robin is most excited about is the chance to show her work crush, James, what she's really like outside of work, and divert his attention from Liz, her work rival.

To make things even better, Robin realises that the town they're going to in Italy is the same place that her childhood penpal, Andrea is from. So it's the perfect time to re-connect and finally meet her old friend over some delicious Italian food and wine (between work obviously...) But when Andrea doesn't turn out to be the person Robin thought, things get a little complicated...

So it's set to be a week of all sun and games... Until someone falls in love of course!

A friends-to-lovers, only-one-bed, fake dating romance from million-copy bestseller Portia MacIntosh.

Portia MacIntosh is a multi-million copy bestselling award-shortlisted author of over 30 romantic comedy novels.

From disastrous dates to destination weddings, Portia’s romcoms are the perfect way to escape from day to day life, visiting sunny beaches in the summer and snowy villages at Christmas time. Whether it’s southern Italy or the Yorkshire coast, Portia’s stories are the holiday you’re craving, conveniently packed in between the pages.

Formerly a journalist, Portia has left the city, swapping the music biz for the moors, to live the (not so) quiet life with her husband and her dog in Yorkshire.

I can see this as a full-length movie but only made by a British director. There is so much Imagination in this story and an American director would only concentrate on the sex because Americans can’t seem to write anything creative without wasting brain cells on gratuitous sex. Clever dialogue is beyond our writers.

Thank you, Portia, for another wonderfully written book and taking me to Bari. Brava!

I love that the author uses Bari, rather than a more famous Italian city, as the setting, and genuinely seems to love the culture. It's a fun, feel-good summer read.

My only complaint is that the love "rival," the one the MC is interested in from the start, seems to have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Give him a few good traits so we can understand why she's after him!

Gives you the "your favorite rom-com" with a bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine vibe. I also like that certain situations were never discovered. So much more realistic than the standard trope. Will read more from this author for sure.

A new favorite book from one of my favorite authors. A funny, light-hearted feel-good rom com, with a likable characters.

I liked this book, but it sort of felt like watching a train wreck. The main character, Robin, just keeps spouting lies to perpetuate the fake fiance trope. It does have a happy ending.
