Lila was born in Brisbane Australia, her step-dad was in the Army which caused them to move around a lot. They finally settled in country Victoria, Australia. Being the youngest of four children she admits she was spoilt a bit. Even drove her mum crazy when she refused to eat meat at a young age.

Now, Lila lives with her husband and two children.

She started writing in 2013 and self-published the first of the Hawks MC series: Holding Out. Since then, she has published twenty-five other titles, which range from romance, humorous romance, and paranormal.

I loved everything about this book!
Finally, we have Texas and Maya’s story, and it was epic! I was given this book last month and I have read it twice, it’s that great! Lila Rose is a favorite of mine, and this couple’s story has been brewing for a while so finally seeing it play out was exciting to say the least. I loved the way this book started at the same time as an event in another book, so we got to see things play out from others point of view. Maya is my girl I have loved her since she joined the family and the same can be said for Texas, they were so cute together if not annoying at times but… that’s love for ya! Now although I try not to give spoilers, I can say that this storyline was a doozy and packed full of emotion. I cried, gasped, laughed, and yelled while reading this book. Lila Rose is an outstanding author, and this book just added more gold to an already spectacular series and catalogue.

    While Texas may not start out with a ton of action, I actually liked the slow burn aspect of the book. Texas and Maya grew up together, part of the Hawks MC family. She's liked him "like that" for years, but he's a bit slower to get with the program. Until he isn't. Before that, they hang out a lot, are friends, and when he decides he's going down the path to make her his, he does it with Talon's full knowledge and blessing.

    We got to "visit" with a lot of old faves and see how this next generation is gearing up to step in and move the Hawks to the next level (although I suspect Talon will still be overseeing it all even when he's a gazillion years old...lol). Loved it and can't wait to see what's next!

    I, unashamedly, loved this book. Regardless of any negative reviews. Maya and Texas had a bit of a checkered past but, once Texas got his self together, they clicked. I enjoyed the ride. This author never fails to grab my attention and I love this series and her original Hawks MC and Polished P&P series. I really liked that she added in others from the original Hawks and also the next generation. Talon was always one of my favorite characters as well as Easton, Parker and Lan. I can't wait for the next book. Always a fan!

    Texas and Maya have known each other for years and he knows that she had a crush on him since she was 16..but as his best friends sister, she’s been off limits. Things change the older they got and once he makes up his mind to make her his, Maya is dealt a hard blow by life and helping her piece her life back together comes first…romance will have to wait. Only, he hopes he didn’t wait too long.

    I love Lila’s book, the Hawks, everything, but unfortunately, for me, this story was a bit of a snoozer. The back and forth “does he doesn’t she, does he doesn’t he”, “ will she, won’t she…”..it was redundant and boring at times. We were at 60% of the story before we finally started to see some real movement in the story.

    It was a good story, but there was nothing to really keep your attention until the last quarter of the story. If it wasn’t for Maya’s trauma, there would be no action throughout the whole book.

    I liked the story, I just wish there was something “more”.

    Lila Rise is a really good writer so I love reading anything she writes. This time the story is about Texas and Maya. It goes through their feelings and lives from when they were younger, setting the scene and straight to now with suitable conflicting emotions from them both.
    The story is really about their journey with minimal input from Hawks MC and appearances from characters from both chapters.
