What would you do if your most dangerous weapon was also your worst nightmare?

Great series for young readers and old! Definitely wanted to just continue to find out how Miles and Harper were going to handle each situation.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast paced sequel. It was full of twists and turns that kept me guessing and wanting to read more! The author also did a fantastic job of tying up loose ends. Well done! It was electrifying!

The Alliance is the second book in The Hybrian Series L. Wood. The Alliance was just as good as the first book The Vault if not better in lots of ways. I love the world that was created for The Hybrian Series. I would sorely love to read more about this world in future books.

I loved that the characters didn’t need powers to fight but I am glad they had them. Don’t get me wrong I don’t like the way that they got them but since they do have them that is a good thing for me as a reader. The Alliance can be disturbing at times but I know that it is only fiction and not real so that is ok.

The Alliance picks up where the first book The Vault left off with Harper still trying to protect the ones she cares about. An evil doctor wants Harper. He wants to use her to make his super soldiers even stronger and better. To keep her friends safe Harper takes off by herself.

But there was one thing Harper was not thinking about and that is that her friends would track her down. They find her at about the same time as the good doctor or more like the evil doctor that is.

But this is a good thing for the evil doctor as he wants to use her friends as a way to get Harper to cooperate in his little experiments. To take things a little further the good doctor or more like the evil doctor also uses her friends in his little experiments as well. Harper and her friends never give up trying to save one another from this evil doctor.

While The Alliance has many twists and turns it also has quite a few secrets that I never believed to be possible. When I read some of these secrets they were very surprising leaving me with my mouth hanging open trying to figure out what had just happened. I was like no way that is not possible how could that happen, no way. But of course, it was, yes way.

Like the first book The Vault, I highly recommend The Alliance to all dystopia fans! Grab a copy of The Alliance today! But I do suggest reading book one The Vault before reading book two The Alliance as they need to be read in order.

This is an awesome fast paced action packed second book! Harper is a total bad ass and can totally kick ass and ask questions later. She’s strong, she’s loyal and she will do anything to protect her friends and I have loved seeing her grow and develop. Gripping, exciting, intriguing and a little intense in places with twists and turns I did not see coming, this tied things up nicely and questions were answered which is always good by my book though I wouldn’t be opposed to more from these characters.

This book was one of my favorite dystopian reads of 2022!

Book 2 of the Hybrians series is non-stop action and a great story too! Harper is fighting to save her family, her friends and Miles.

I will say the beginning of the book was a tough read. She was captured, tested upon and tortured. But these experiences only confirmed her resolve and made her stronger.

Harper, her family, friends and the Alliance work to bring down the Rogues.

I really loved this book! I hope L. Wood continues the story of Harper, Miles and their friends.

I received an advance review copy for free from Booksirens and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is right up my alley. I love stories about super soldiers and gene manipulation. Harper is a no nonsense heroine with the ability to harness electricity. But even without her super powers, she can still kick your butt. I enjoyed her emotional range especially in regard to her complex relationship with Miles. There are a few trigger warnings the reader should pay attention to, but nothing too intense. It was my pleasure to receive an advance copy of this book for free, but I'm about to go buy it now because I think the author deserves my money! This is an action packed story that is very well told.

This is a fantastic sequel to the first book. Once I started reading, I had a hard time putting the book down. The storytelling is done very well to the point where the reader is always intrigued. There is very rarely a time where the book feels slow. I loved this book.
