Holy Guacamole...Nicole Snow has upped her game. I loved this enemies to lovers, spine tingling, suspenseful romance!! Filled with a witty/sarcastic banter between Delilah & Lucas and yet a deep understanding of lust and love that they are not sure they should fulfill...the twists and turns, murder and mayhem keeps me turning the pages to see whodunnit. Grab this one and hold on for a ride you won't soon forget. :-)

    There’s something special about this author’s broken Heroes that just pulls me in and holds me captive from beginning to end. Then she throws in a feisty, yet vulnerable Heroine and my heart just expands and brims over with hope for the couple. Lucas and Delilah are no exception.
    Once again, this author, Nicole Snow, infuses all her compelling storytelling trademarks for an awesome, fantastic, suspenseful, steamy and entertaining read in The Broken Protector (Redhaven Book 1). I was hard put to take any breaks while reading this one and extremely put out when interrupted!
    While both protagonists are broken in their own ways, it is what seems to bond them. Sprinkled in, there’s also plenty of levity throughout their romance journey. I mean hogs in police cars flying through the small town with sirens and lights? Hilarious and that’s just one example. Lucas and Delilah have flirty banter, often with an edge, and plenty of sassy nicknames that are bound to charm a smile or two as well. I just love how she can coax out a chuckle or make me laugh out loud while endearing her characters to my heart.
    Then there’s the slow burn that gives off stunningly promising sparks just bound to combust in 4th of July fireworks fashion leaving the characters and readers gasping for breath. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the spectacular suspense that held me helplessly captive and completely riveted to my kindle barely daring to breathe for several chapters!
    Overall, I am excited and thrilled with this book! As a series starter this one is exceptional and I don’t feel like I’m saying that just because I’m a fan of this author. I do love everything she has written, but I think it’s because I love her blend of storytelling and character development into a well written book. And her broken Heroes? Always grumpy and growl-y, but when their softer side is revealed? Holy smokes! Hot, steamy, slow burn deliciousness and swoon all around. And the HEA or Lucas and Delilah? Brilliant, joyful, and family-filled adorableness you will not want to miss.

    Overall I enjoyed reading this book. I thought the narrative done by the author was very good and had this taste of mystery that kept me turning every page. Another thing that i another thing that I enjoyed was how modern the storyline seemed. I think that it was one of the things that kept my attention. There are still some questions left unanswered in this hot romance/mystery and I wonder if the rest of this series will have them answered. One thing that I will truthfully say is that Redhaven town is strange town and after all the things that Mila had heard and seen. Her anger/fear/anxiety didn’t surprise me. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a well written story that will leave you wondering more about the town Redhaven.

    Delilah, a city girl from New York, finds herself a job in small town Redhaven, North Carolina. Although she was happy to leave and start a new life, she didn't know what to expect in her new adventure. Delilah is a teacher. Work was one of the reasons she left New York, but she left mostly for more personal reasons.
    Lieutenant Lucas Graves works for the police department in Redhaven. He was born and raised there. As soon as he meets Delilah, he feels a strong, possessive pull and a protectiveness towards her he finds hard to explain. Maybe it's because she's just witnessed something no one should ever have to see, maybe it's because of his past, or maybe it's something else. All he knows is that Delilah is starting to mean something to him. To Lucas's dismay, Delilah seems to be getting tangled up in all things Redhaven which included the mansion on the hill and it's occupants, the Arrendells, that run way too much in this small town. Lucas just wants to keep Delilah safe and in his life.
    In Redhaven, sometimes bad things happen and no one is held accountable, whether it be because of status or lack of evidence. Lucas has his reasons for not liking the Arrendells, but today as it stands, he has a bigger fight in this game, he just hopes he's able to win.

    Lots of mystery and intrigue! These characters, whether good or evil, are so compelling and vital to this story, I could not wait to find out what would happen next!! The phenomenal writing had me hooked and wanting more! Redhaven has my full attention and it's captured me hook, line and sinker!! So excited for what's to come!!!
    AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!
