The Girl in the Window: BRAND NEW from the author of NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER The Girl in Seat 2A, Diana Wilkinson Kindle Edition
A psychological thriller that will keep you on your toes, guessing until the very end, from the author of the NUMBER ONE bestselling phenomenon The Girl in Seat 2A
I know their secrets...
Every morning, I sit at the same table of my favourite café, sip my cappuccino, and watch them.
The woman has no idea I’m watching, day after day, unravelling the secrets of her life. I see the way she smiles when he arrives, how she glances over her shoulder… like someone who is hiding something.
She thinks she’s in control, but has no idea I’m on to them…
I know a lot more about the man. For a start, he’s not who he pretends to be – his lies are as plain as the nose on your face.
There’s more to this story than meets the eye, a lot more than I’ll ever let on. I already know a lot about the man, but have learnt so much more from watching.
Why do I think the man should tell me what’s going on?
Because he’s my husband. That’s why.
An unforgettable tale of deceit, lies and revenge, from the bestselling author of The Girl in Seat 2A.

About the author

Diana Wilkinson (née Kennett) was born and bred in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the height of the civil unrest. After graduating from Durham University with a degree in geography, she settled in England.
Diana spent most of her working life in the business of tennis development. A former Irish international player, Diana finally stepped off the court to become a full-time writer. The inspiration for much of her work has come from the ladies she coached over the years and from confidences shared over coffee.
Previously published by Bloodhound Books, Diana’s debut novel, 4 Riverside Close became an instant international bestseller. Since its release, she has gone on to write 7 more psychological thrillers which have been published by Boldwood Books. These titles include: The Couple in Apartment C; The Woman in my Home; Right Behind You; You are Mine; The Missing Guest; The Girl in the Window, as well as the Girl in Seat 2A which became an overnight sensation reaching number 1 in both the UK and Australia's charts. The Girl in Seat 2A is to be translated into several foreign languages later this year.
A sequel to The Girl in 2A is due out in July 2025!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2025Wow. What a read. I can't say I was obsessed to keep reading at first, but still, I couldn't stop thinking about it, trying to figure out what was really going on & what wasn't.
Then, as things got more & more complex, it became more & more intriguing.Could never have guessed at the twists that came out...
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2025Oh my what a terrific book! I loved every word and the way the mystery played out. This book will not disappoint!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2025The last chapter was slow and seemed incomplete. If this was the first in a series, the story didn't pull and there was no impetus to continue reading. The second half of the book seemed rushed. There was much room for character development, which didn't happen.

Would recommend for summer, beach read.
Wonder if there will be a sequel to this book?
- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2024Diana Wilinson is a brand new author for me, although I see she has written quite a few books. The description lured me into reading this one.
Description:
Every morning on my way to work, I settle with my cappuccino in the corner of my favourite café, Angelo’s, and watch the world go by.
I’m especially riveted by the flat across the street. It’s where a pretty brunette comes and goes. I try to imagine things about her. Her age. Her life. Her background. What makes her tick.
Once a week at least, a man in cycling gear rings her bell. Sometimes he dares kiss her on the lips. More often, the door is swiftly closed, and he follows her up the stairs. I watch bereft, and imagine all sorts of things.
It’s all regular as clockwork. He’s never late. He always wears the same cycling outfit. He’s not a Lycra sort of man. His new helmet, with an edging of red around the black, is as far as he’ll go to appear professional.
I’ve worked out lots about him from just watching. But then I know a whole lot more about him too.
Because he’s my husband.
Keeping a secret life from an unsuspecting wife takes not a little cunning. But I’m no longer an unsuspecting wife. The question is, will I be able to keep the knowledge of what I know from my husband……until I decide what I’m going to do.
My Thoughts:
I can't imagine being a wife and watching your husband regularly visit another woman wihtout saying anything! Such a strange situation. Lots of secrets and lies, and the ending was a surprise. I think those who like domestic thrillers will probably enjoy this one.
Thanks to Boldwood Books through Netgalley for an advance copy.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2024This book, from the beginning had my attention. I started reading it yesterday and just now finished it. It was full of suspense and kept me guessing until the end. Great writing!!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2025This was an OK book but was drawn out way way too long for my liking. I am not a fan of weak, indevisive women as the main character any book. I'll leave it there in case you
want to read it.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2024Enjoyed!!!! I never read this author before so I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked this one. As each chapter passed the author would only give you a small piece of the puzzle that left you wanting more along with so many questions. I loved this. It wasn’t until the end that you finally got all the pieces and were able to have everything make sense. That is when I was like WOW!!!! It made me so shocked. This author really had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I will definitely be reading her again and can’t wait for her next book. I’m sure it will be great like this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars A twisty, easy read!
The first book I have read by this author and it didn't disappoint.
The Girl in the Window is a domestic thriller which begins with Izzy sitting in her usual spot on the window of a coffee shop. Observing a woman who lives across the street, Izzy soon learns her own husband is visiting this woman, putting us into a spiral of suspicion and setting the novel up for suspense. Chapter by chapter, Izzy works to unravel the truth with twists and turns along the way.
An easy read with nice small chapters which kept the book engaging. 4* rating because towards the end the main twist was guessed. Still a strong and enjoyable psychological thriller which has made me want to read more by this author.

3.0 out of 5 stars The girl in the window
Interesting as I was wondering how this story would go. As usual far too many chapters felt it was going nowhere and started to lose interest. Finally reached the end and was somewhat disappointed.

What a brilliant book. Another one I've read in a day. Really enjoyed it, a cracking storyline with good characters. And a few twists and turns. Excellent read.
