    I thought it was predictable. I did guess the situation involving the missing daughter, and I guessed why. However, I didn’t see a certain part of it coming. I read another book by this same author, and it had similar themes and twists in it. It did keep me up past my bedtime finishing it, and I did enjoy it. A quick, easy, and entertaining read.

    Once again, Ms. Modglin delivers an amazing thriller that keeps you glued to every page!

    My heart broke for Ginny and how hard she was struggling and how committed she was to healing. I went back and forth with my emotions toward Cameron. He was a doting father, for sure, but he got on my bad side a bit too. I'm sure you'll figure out why. As a parent myself, I can't imagine the horror they were going through, but the mystery remained - what happened? Well, you'll have to read it to find out!

    I'm not going to give away anything here, but needless to say, you'll be shocked by the ending! Who am I kidding, I'm shocked at the ending of every one of Ms. Modglin's books!! She truly is the Queen of Twists and Turns!

    If you haven't read any of her books, you are missing out. BIG TIME! Don't wait another minute and grab this one! Heck, grab any of hers!! You won't be disappointed!!

    I picked this book because the summary caught my attention. I was interesting in the beginning and then it kinda fell flat for me. The book is very relatable for all mothers and their worries about their own kids and how life is before and after pregnancy. I didn't feel like there was much of a twist. I kinda knew Alex was the bad guy from the beginning. I'm glad in the end the character Rae got someone and Alex did too. Overall it's an okay read, very real and raw writing of marriages and kids.

    Another great story by this author. Again we are carried along with a simple story of a child who gets kidnapped. But somehow this one is different. Cameron and Ginny love their daughter, so when she is gone their world falls apart. But little do we know there are secrets behind every door and of course, as usual with Modglin's books.......a twist.

    I did not see that one coming - so so good.
