Publisher Description

He was my worst enemy. He spent every waking moment devising fresh new ways of torturing me. No one has ever been able to make me cry like Matthais Bristow: my twin brother’s best friend, and the person on this planet I hate most.

Then, he left for college and I was free of him. For ten blessed years, I was free of his torture.

Now, he’s back, and he owns half of the family business I spent my entire life preparing to take over.

Is this going to be a new round of his old favorite game, Make Delia McKenna Cry, or am I to believe he’s actually come back with good intentions?

Excellent storyline and dialogue

The Parent Trap was a book that I didn’t think I was going to enjoy after the first few pages, quite honestly. There was a lot of anger coming from Delia, justifiably so, towards her brother so I wasn’t sure how sympathetic she’d be.
But I quickly grew to really like and admire Delia. Her dad dealt her a bad hand by making her work with her waste of a brother. But she never waivered, even once Dell, the idiot brother, again upended her world. I actually grew to like Matthais, brother’s BFF and her childhood tormentor…again, against my will! He definitely grew up and became a better man.
But here’s why this very well written and engaging story “only” got 4 stars…their relationship shifted too quickly for me. I get it, storylines sometimes need to be pushed faster than what might happen in “real life”. But for all the garbage Delia dealt with, both in her first eighteen years, plus years of therapy and self doubt, Thai (oh, and that nickname…ick) was able to climb over her walls after too short a time. I also don’t understand the title? But whatever…
I thought this was an excellent book and the dialogue…something I’m very picky about…was fantastic! From the flaming anger between siblings to the snarky quips between Delia and Matthais, I was hooked. It was one of the best and most memorable books I’ve read this year. While past bullying may be a trigger for some, I think those who enjoy lots of steam, forgiveness and great conversations between the MCs, this book is for you.

Absolutely Fantastic!

This is another great hit by Jasinda Wilder. This story captures you from the first page, and you just have to hold on for the ride! I have loved so many of Jasinda’s series. She is an amazing writer with a style of her own that captivates you with her whit and charm. Her female leads are strong, relatable women who don’t back down in adverse situations. I love that this particular lead is the CEO of the company, and has earned her stellar reputation. There is so much I want to say about how positive of a role model she is, but that would mean lots of spoilers. So jump in and read it!

Oh and the back references to other series, I cracked up!! So fun!!

Thank you for another great read! I can’t wait for Dell’s story!
