The Ringmaster: An Enemies-to-lovers, Fated Mates, MM Romance (Black Cat Circus Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 161 ratings

The last thing half-fae, half-demon Ringmaster Seven needs is to hold someone captive in his bedroom, no matter how attractive he finds the young man. It’s been ten years since Seven fled the fae courts and found sanctuary in the human realm. He will do anything to protect his circus and found family. So, when Seven wakes up to find a beautiful yet feral creature straddling him and reeking of faerie magic, his only option is to bind the little minx and deal with him later.

Time is running out for Indy. It’s been almost ten years since Indy was cursed. His only hope of breaking the magic is to find his fated mate or lose his human form forever. Seeing no other choice, Indy travels with a magical circus of paranormal creatures. Only, when Indy momentarily gets his human form back, he’s more concerned about getting revenge on the Ringmaster rather than finding love.

Can Sev help Indy break this curse before it’s too late, or will he die trying?

The Ringmaster is an enemies-to-lovers, fated mates, paranormal MM romance. It is part of the Black Cat Circus multi-author series that features found family and a magical cast of characters. Each book can be read as a standalone but is better enjoyed as a series.

Seven & Indy
💜 ARC Read 💜So much to say about this book, but of course I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone (already did enough of that in my stories 🤭).I do want to say I absolutely loved everything about this book by @dakota.quinn.writes . It was the perfect book to close out the series. I would love a second series (may or may not have let each of the authors to the series know this multiple times 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🤭)You have 2 MC’s that are not just Fated Mates but absolutely perfect for each other. Seven and Indy made me go through a roller coaster of emotions but I wouldn’t want it any other way. You have Seven who has been searching and wanting his dared mate and has waited for almost 10 years. Seven always hid his real self, being half Fae and half Demon. He thinks no one will like his true self. He loves so hard but thinks he might not be loved the same. Then you have Indy who has been traveling with the circus without Seven every seeing him. Indy was actually cursed by a Fae and now doesn’t trust them at all, he stays away from Seven for the last almost 10 years. When they finally meet, it has to be the best meet cute every, truly makes you laugh. This book was slow burn but definitely well worth it. They were definitely perfect for each other. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the 4th book of the Series.

This was an adorable little read. I would have loved to know more about the curse, but in the end, it didn't matter too much because these two were just perfect for each other.

I feel like Seven deserved a way longer book. Like, I wanted MORE of the story. Which, by the way, was freaking adorable and fun and the perfect amount of spicy.

Also, can I just say I love the imagination that this entire series has brought to the table? Because I do. So much. I’ve always loved the lore of the Fae and demons the most out of all the supernatural lore out there, but this book? No spoilers, but it did me right and hit all my buttons. I only wish we would’ve learned more about the extent of Seven’s powers and what all he could do.

And bless Indy and how precious he was, even when he was all feisty.

I hope this wasn’t the last book in this series, because I’m not quite ready to Sri living the circus life.

4.25/5, mainly because the mechanics weren’t great. Lots of commas in the wrong places and not enough in the right ones, plus a few other little errors that the editing team missed and shouldn’t have.

Every book in this series has been a winner and this one is no exception. I'm glad I read Seven's story last as I've had all the previous books to wonder and speculate about exactly how he came to be the ringmaster for this wonderful found family of circus performers and to hope that he too would get his HEA. I loved the mystery of the black cat that gave the circus its name and how the solution to that mystery tied in with Seven's fated mate was delightful. There are some deep misunderstandings that have to be cleared up before the HEA and I was rooting for it all the way. We get the fae here in all their unpredictable but enchanting glory.

The Ringmaster by Kota Quinn is the fourth and final book in the Black Cat Circus series. I’m sad to see it end. Although I am happy with how it was wrapped up. I love Seven and Indy! I think these books are best read together and definitely recommend.

No wonder the ringmaster never saw Peanut and didn't believe he existed. It's always the hurt and abandoned that are the most empathic and generous. They might have had the strangest face to face encounter, but it sure left quite an impression on them both. And the dreams? Golden!
I received an advanced readers copy and am giving my honest review.

Let's start off by saying Indy & Bri are bestie goals for life. Those two have an irreplaceable bond that I dare anyone to try to get between.
Anyway, back to the story🤣 Seven has been searching for his fated mate for years, sensing them near yet never seeing. Then you have poor kitty fogged Indy who has been avoiding all fae for years, not knowing he can trust our beloved Ringmaster. Then, fate steps in the way and time for these two to open their eyes and see what has always been there and not at the same time. These two are so dang fun together that it was fun to see their bond mature to become what it was.
Another fantastic addition to the black cat Circus series is loved every single minute. No joking started, and I couldn't put this series down til completed. It was good and just kept you held from start to finish! This series is truly what found family is all about so happy to see these men find their mates.

I have fallen in love with this interconnected series and it's finally The Ringmaster's AKA Seven's turn at happiness.
Peanut/Indy has been cursed and his time is running out.
A case of mistaken identity leads him to believe that Seven cursed him but in actuality they're fated mates.
Indy was so fiesty but also very sweet.
Seven is a great guy who loves his found family and is so protective of them.
It was great to see him get his HEA especially since he's kind of been longing for it ever since everyone else around him was finding their own.
These two were so sweet together and very spicy as well.

I don't think I've been this sad to have a series end. I honestly have loved every single book in this series. If you didn't know they were written by different authors, I honestly don't think you would be able to tell. All of these books were so beautiful and was connected and weaved together so beautifully. Where one book ended, the other would pick up right where the previous book left off. It's a true depiction of how hard these authors worked and how much time they put into making these beautiful stories fit together so wonderfully.

Each book has been filled with love, friendships, family, mystical beings, magic, and of course carnival rides and shows! All of these authors jam packed theur stories full of well written details, characters with well thought out backgrounds and had such fantastic personalities. Along with the place setting.. I mean are you kidding? It was written so well! And was so believable! Seven, can I please join your circus? Please?

In this addition we got to know more about Seven, we got to see things from his point of view and how he felt about the events that were happening around him. How he longed for a mate, and how when he watched his family find their partners he just wanted the same thing. And when he finally found his mate, he never expected he would try to kill him!

Peanut was cursed 10 years ago by a cruel fae creature, ever since then he's been trapped in a cat body. Despite missing his human form, he's grown used to his feline form, and his best friend Bri makes sure he's taken care of. But when he finally has human legs again he's determined to confront the fae that cursed him all those years ago, except the person he thought was the guilty party turned out not to be the person he thought it was... Turns out.. Seven is his mate.

I loved these stories so much and this was was no exception. I have adored Peanut ever since the first book. His character is just so cute and oh so sweet! His relationship with Brighton is so endearing, and we got to see even more glimpses of their relationship in this book. And Seven and Indy's relationship had such good progression. Things didn't get rushed or hurried, or get too drawn out. Ut just flowed so beautifully.

I really hope there will be more books to come in this series. I mean we got Soo many more side characters in this book! I mean there's so many possibilities! Sorren, Conall, August, Aaron, Akira.. River! So many stories that could happen. Oh! And Farren!

If you want to read not just one book, but a whole series that'll make you smile and laugh, and cry with the characters then you NEED to get all of these books... Today!!!

"I don't know why fate has paired us up, but I wanted you to know, even if you weren't my fated mate, I would've fallen in love with you, no matter what. I know you have the circus, but Sev, you will always have my heart."

“You’re my miracle… Being part demon, I didn’t think fate would even bother giving me someone to love, let alone the other half of my soul. But now that you’re in my life, I will not let you go. I will not stop fighting for you.”

I absolutely adore this book. What an amazing conclusion to a fabulous collaboration. I cannot say it enough, the found family in this series was so beautiful, it often had me misty. Let’s face it, none of it would have been possible without The Ringmaster himself. Seven who was forsaken by his family and lives in fear that people will find out that that he is a half demon, even by his closest friends, spends his life searching for other paranormals who are alone and gives them a home, purpose and love. Are you crying yet… cause I am.

And then we have Indy, I mean Peanut, wink, wink, who was one of my favourite characters in the series. His friendship with Bri alone is goals. Regardless of what form he is in, from the beginning he took care of his "family" and let's face it, so many owe their HEA to him. Then we have Sev & Indy whose chemistry is off the charts. Indy is exactly what Sev needs to overcome his fears, even with that perfectly murderous meetcute.

The Ringmaster is low/medium heat that will make you feel all gooey inside with hearts in your eyes, whether it is focused on our MC’s or the myriad of equally spectacular side characters.

Oh my! I was waiting the whole series to find out about Seven, and I was highly satisfied! Discovering Peanut's story was just as enthralling, to be fair. A spot of shibari added in? Yes, please.

I absolutely devoured this book.

I LOVE how this series feels like it's written by one author, even though each book is by a different person. The characters appear in one another's stories, and the writing voice is similar enough not to be jarring. All are fairly low angst and high steam with muchly cuteness (& gorgeousness).

I'm so ready for more. Please tell me there will be more!! There will be more, right?

4.0 out of 5 stars Seven finally catches up
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 29, 2023
Book 4 of the multi-author Black Cat Circus series sees Ringmaster Seven finally catch up with his fated mate and comes to terms with his own half-fae half-demon nature.

I've wanted to read Sev's story since I started the series and this was a great pairing: the tall purpl haired ringmaster with a fancy for nice suits and the cat he can never seem to see. Some bits seemed a little rushed, especially the spicy bits and the reunions with the brothers. But it's generally pretty good and I loved reading Seven and Peanut's story.

In this you'll find: MM near fantasy contemporary PNR; fated mates; a paranormal circus; fae; curses to overcome; a cat who's not just any cat; reunion with long lost siblings; found family; 2 excitable BFFs with slightly jealous partners; and a HEA.

MM, Enemies to Lovers, Fated Mates, Paranormal, Romance. Easy to read page-turner with great characters, part of a multi author series in a shared Universe. Each book can be read as a standalone but they work really well when read as part of the series. A really enjoyable read with lots of surprises, steam, wit, humour and found family. Guaranteed HEA.
