MEGHAN

My husband is a cheating bastard.

If it weren't for my daughter, I'd have gotten rid of him years ago. But I don't want my sweet Hazel growing up the way I did. So I've continued putting up with Cole's indiscretions. But this time around, Cole crosses a line that he can't come back from. And I'm going to
teach him a lesson he'll never forget.

COLE

I love my wife dearly, but she needs some serious help.

Ever since her traumatic brain injury, she hasn't been the same. She's constantly accusing me of cheating on her. Yes, I've made mistakes, but that's in the past, and I've apologized for those. Now, I think she might even be following me to work. She's taking things too far. I don't know how much more of this I can handle. The only problem is,
I'm afraid that if I try to leave her, she'll kill me.

Shade Owens is a YA and adult fiction author of dark stories driven by strong female characters. Having written over twenty books in the young adult dystopian thriller genre, she is now shifting gears due to her newfound passion for psychological thrillers. The darker and more twisted the story, the better [insert maniacal laugh here]. Ironically, she hates horror movies and cannot eat chicken on-bone since it's "gross", yet has no issue describing a dead body in vivid detail.

It wasn’t the worst book I read but it wasn’t the best. It was a bit long and drawn out lots of boring filler. There were exciting parts and I did get hooked enough to want to know the ending.

This is my first book by Shade Owen, and this will not be my last.

Meagan is dealing with the aftermath of an accident. Her daughter is emotionally distant, and she thinks her husband is lying to her (can’t spoil how).

This book was not what I expected. There were times when I was questioning the direction of the story. Is Meagan seeing things? Is she the person that’s making these things happen? I honestly felt bad for Cole (husband) at the beginning, that changed the more I listened to the book. Damn are there curveballs in this story that I didn’t see coming. This is what made it so good. I enjoyed the multiple POVs.

If you like books that have suspense and have you questioning everything, this is definitely a must read/listen for you. It will keep you on your toes. Also, we all need a best friend like Chelsea.

Thank you to NetGalley for the Audiobook

One thing that draws me to Shade Owens books is that she always writes a badass FMC! and she did not disappoint in this one! I love a good domestic thriller/mystery and she delivered!

This story is written from the perspective of several different characters. The main characters are a married couple Megan and Cole, along with their daughter Hazel and an unknown diary entry author. The marriage seemingly falls apart due to Megan being involved in an accident that leaves her disfigured, but we come to find out this marriage has many secrets!

This book was easy for me to devour with the short chapters and intriguing plot! Just when I thought I had everything figured out another plot twist left me second guessing everything.. be prepared because the ending will leave you mind blown 🤯

Thank you @NetGelley and @ AudioArc. The Webs You Weave audio was a suspenseful psychological thriller. I enjoyed the dual narration by Kaden Catalina and Jay Parker. I was unsure in the first few chapters if this was going to draw me in to its web. As the story unfolded and we got both sides of Meghan and Cole relationship and why they stayed married. I did not see the ending coming and the trap that Meghan had set up for Cole. I was cheering for her. It was a rollercoaster of emotions and mind play. This book was my first read by Shade Owens.
