The Triangle (Shape of Love Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 749 ratings

“A suspenseful, tangled, erotic love story from the twisted minds of New York Times Bestselling author, JA Huss, and actor/screenwriter, Johnathan McClain.”

Alec. Christine. Danny.
This is how you say our names.
Danger is our drug of choice, the triangle our addiction.

Alec. Golden boy with diamonds in his eyes.
Christine. Partner in crime and owner of my heart.
They know what they want.
Me.
Danny. Unsure of everything they’re offering.
But if she needs me, I come.
So when he called, I went. It’s just that simple.

Until it wasn’t.

Until all those memories come rushing back with all the things we left behind.
I only know three things.
There is no her without him.
No me without them.
No we without us.
We are Alec, Christine, and Danny.

And this is the shape of our love.

when is the next instalment coming?!?!
5 out of 5 stars
when is the next instalment coming?!?!
Yes, yes. I freely admit it: when it comes to J.A Huss and Johnathan McClain, there is nothing that's going to stop me from getting my grubby little hands on their books because hot damn. Together, they make one heck of a good story to read. The Triangle was nothing like i would have expected. I thought i'd get something along the lines of the Turning series, but i was so very wrong. This was a mix of K Webster/M Never/JA Huss/Ann Mayburn/Johnathan McClain all mixed into one hella hot book. This was intense. It was dark, hot, chemistry aplenty and so much angst and suspense that i was at the edge of my bed trying to get closer to my kindle so that i wasn't going to miss a single moment of what was happening to these three characters. They were so different from one another that it was fascinating to see how they meshed well together to give each other what they needed and when they needed it. I enjoyed watching their dynamic amongst one another, and loved seeing what they could do because let's face it, we're talking about mobsters and killers here... Am i excited to read the next instalment of this series? Oh absolutely! Am i willing to be patient about it? Not one single bit. Because there is only so long that i want to wait and lately, i don't have much patience when it comes to the good stuff. *ARC provided by Author in exchange for an honest review. I loved The Triangle (Shape of Love #1) by J.A. Huss and Johnathan McClain, which is a romantic suspense novel. The story is told in the three main characters, (Danny, Christine, and Alec's), point of view. Christine starts the story after she wakes up on a couch in a place that she doesn't recognize, she has a terrible headache, blood stains on her pillow, and a bottle of pain pills with her name written on it, sitting on the table next to her. Christine has no idea who she is, what has caused the long gash with a lot of stitches on the back of her head, nor where she is. The next thing that happens is that a man is calling her name while banging on her door, and she doesn't know if she should open it. She opens the door and sees a man who says that he is Danny, and apparently they have known each other a long time. Danny asks her, "What have you done?" and "What did Alec make you do?", and she has no idea what he is talking about. She tells Danny that she has no memory of anything, and the next thing she knows Danny is making her pack up all of her stuff, which includes three types of guns or automatic weapons that are hidden around the residence. Christine soon finds out that she is a thief and a murderer, and that Alec, who Christine has been with the last four years, called Danny and had him go to Christine and get her because he knows that Danny will keep her safe because he loves her, even though he hasn't seen her in four years. Danny would do anything for Christine because he has loved her from the time he first saw her, when she was 10 and he was 14 years old, and they were like brother and sister. Danny now loves her in a very not-at-all sisterly way.

Danny was very hurt when Christine left him to go with Alec. He has no idea what they have been doing the last four years, but he knows that it couldn't have been anything good. Alec is a master manipulator, and he teamed up with Danny and Christine about ten years earlier. Alec is a wealthy psychopath from South Africa. He was born from wealth, has no need for money, but he enjoys stealing and killing. Mostly Alec enjoys manipulating other people to do his dirty work. Alec was attracted to Danny when he saw him at a gym in the United States ten years ago. He met Christine through Danny, and the three of them were a team together, stealing money and diamonds, smuggling diamonds with their help. This book is the about "the triangle" of Danny, Alec, and Christine.

This book is really entertaining, and there are so many twists and turns that you never know what is going to happen next, or who to believe. It definitely keeps you on your toes because just when you think you have things figured out, the story changes. There is a lot of MMF and MFM sex in this book, but it is an essential part of what this "triangle" of people is all about; it is not gratuitous sex, and it seems essential to understanding the relationship that these three people have to one another.

I loved this book! The story is complicated, makes you think, and keeps you on your toes. The characters are wonderfully complex, which adds to this story's entertainment value. This story ends in a cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series called "The Square". J.A. Huss is a magnificent writer, and this collaboration with Johnathan McClain is great. I highly recommend this novel! I think that this would make a wonderful movie or mini-series in the future.

The Triangle...What Was That? JUST WOW, I LOVED IT!!!

Ok so this is Book One "The Triangle" of a Three Book Trilogy "Shape of Love" from the newly grouped duo HussMcClain aka Julie A Huss and Johnathan McClain and I LOVED IT!!! They do not disappoint in any way shape or form! Three Straight Lines coming together to form a "Triangle" AN "US" to These Three People. I've fallen hard already and we are just through book 1! HussMcClain did everything right with this book well except giving us the next Book already! Yeah That is Pure Torcher! OMG YOU TWO! I NEED MORE LIKE NOW!!! But Seriously people, it is so awesomely written, these Two Writers are grooming and growing themselves, us and now breathing life into THIS, these new characters and it is so achingly beautiful! I am so proud I get to ride with them on a new journey and many More! This One is Mysteriously Delicious, So Sexy, So Hot, Oh and the best part is its a Ménage...if I failed to mention that and these characters are just Crazy GOOD! You will Love at Least One, most likely Two but maybe if your like me all Love all three of them and you are torn up about it! Its just So GOOD and has The Best Build Up to a Huge Cliffy...So Yes Again I need More, like Now!!

These Three Characters are so Crazy, like in this wild life that's been lead up to now, including Growing Up, Diamond Heists, Becoming an Ace Assassin, Crazy Shoot Outs, Hide Outs that are Compromised or are they? Memory Loss, Lost Loves and a Crazy Hot Reunion from Time. For sure you will have a racing heart, tears, and left in this OMG euphoric feeling of I just need more, like give me more NOW! I was so wrapped and consumed and just for sure thinking how this was going in my head how this was turning and KABOOM we go way off into a completely different Mindfok. Oh Alec and your crazy accent and crazy words that most times it didn't matter exactly what they meant because how the story is told you just "Get It"!

I don't want give much away I hate even that I said its a cliffy but it is And its a Great One, a HussMcClain Special I can guarantee you that!!! You need to read and go into These Three Grown Characters World Blind and learn this Life they have led and what comes next for them, or what we think comes next or Hope to Be!
Its told in Past and Present and in all three POV's including a familiar "what's going on inside of their minds" just what they Might be feeling but how its told makes you FEEL IT ALL! Not only did my head pound but my heart pitter pattered and in the end I wanted so much more of them ALL I need More of Christine, Alec and Danny!

I totally swooned for Danny and I sure do like Alec's foreignness and his dialect is crazy HOT. They both are so HOT! Christine I wanna be you for like 1 day or "just a session" Jeeze lawd you going to read some crazy hot scenes. A Lot of Sex is in the book buts its super hot and well the Ménage part, if you are unsure don't be because its totally Awesome! I think You Will Love It, you might not just like some parts, you might even feel hurt and mad at each character, maybe even yourself BUT you will most surely be sucked into one beautifully damaged group of people and story!

Come on Book 2 I cant Hardly Wait!!!

This was book 1 in the "Shape of Love" series. Alec, Danny and Christine are three sides of a Triangle. Christine is an assassin Danny is a thief and chopped cars Alec comes from a rich family he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and he is also a thief he steals diamonds. While on a job Christine is hurt and wakes up in a apartment with no memory. When Alec gets the call he is in the middle of a gun battle he calls the only man that loves her as much as he does Danny. Danny is also dealing with his own drama he just found out that his business partner has been trafficking people for the mob along with stolen cars and they have a problem someone missed with the shipment. This book had some action in it I didn't know which one was lying they were all double crossing each other. Christine has been in love with both of them but Danny left her and Alec they didn't see him for a few years. Danny wants to protect her from Alec he wants to make into something she was not. Alec loves them both and I think that it hurt him Danny left. This was a good read the problem I did have is that I was half thru the book before the first sex scene I have read JA Huss's work before and I think in my mind I was comparing it to 321. The sex they did have was hot I just wished Danny and Alec would have went a lot further and I think that Alec wanted to but was afraid to push Danny. This book left off on a cliffhanger and I was sad that the next book won't come out until January. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I can't wait to read book 2

Just wow! JA Huss is an automatic purchase and read author for me, and this book written with Johnathan McClain is brilliant. The Triangle is the start of a new series, and I was hooked right from the start, needing to know more. I loved the characters - they exist on the wrong side of the law stealing, killing and conning. Events being the 3 back together after 4 years apart. There's twists some hot scenes and plenty to keep you wondering what will happen next.
Brilliant as always, can't wait for more!

The Triangle is a fabulous read. Had to get used reading some of the South African words in the book but it made the character of Alec so much more real. Nothing is as it seems and expect the unexpected by every turn of a page. Loved it!

It took me ages to start this series, and it took me way too long to finish The Triangle, the first book.
Was it me who wasn't in the right mindset?
Is it the duo of authors?
I liked how suspenseful this read was. How thrilling and action-packed. Super steamy as well.
Now, there aren't a lot of dialogs. This is more a succession of long monologues altering between the three characters, mixing present and past memories. This game gave me an impression of detachment, of not being there with them, which I usually love.
In this book, we get the settings, kind of, at least the point where it starts. But truly, it's simply unreliable characters trapped together in a dangerous situation.
Who can be trusted? What really happened to them? That's what I'd like to find out in the other opus!

This certainly is one action packed book. Dark, erotic, passionate, dramatic, descriptive and so much more. Once started and fully got into extremely difficult to extract from your hands. A tremendous triangle, of trust, despair and fragmented personalities. A soft cuddle book this is not. A raw, emotional overload of a novel it is. Alex, a rich Afrikaner, Danny a poor foster kid and Christine a much younger foster kid with a need to grow up. Read if you dare, but a rollercoaster it is.
