Melanie resides on Vancouver Island, Canada where her life goal is to become one of those fabulous people who take daily ice baths in the ocean. So far, she can get in up to her ankles, which is not awful, thank you very much.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2024This is a a very talented author. The book was fun, wickedly witty, and sweetly romantic.
BUT, I'm confused. On my Kindle, the book seemed to skip an important conflict between the characters. I thought I had missed it perhaps fast forwarded it by accident, I went back looking for the missing section several times. I couldn't find it. I thought perhaps there was a mistake by whoever published the book. I was trying to find a way to contact Amazon or the author and advise them of the missing section. At the end of the book, I find this from the author."want more Ty and Gwen, you're in luck, because I've popped 3 hilarious deleted scenes into a booklet for you" and it directs you to a web site.
Frustrated, I looked at the book on my Kindle app on my phone and guess what I found the missing conflict (location 2374 to location 2553.
So I don't know what is going on: it's still a good book. The missing part I found on my Kindle app only made it better. GO FIGURE.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2024From the first page, "The Space Between Us" captured my heart and held it tightly. This story paints the picture of two beautifully flawed characters, each navigating their emotional turmoil, who find unexpected solace in each other. The story is heartwarming and heart-wrenching, exploring themes of grief, forgiveness, and the courage to open up again. The emotional depth of the characters is stunning, and I found myself wholly invested in their journey. Their chemistry is palpable, making every interaction a blend of tension, tenderness, and hope.
The writing style of these two talented authors is evocative and full of heart, with vivid descriptions and dialogue that feel both authentic and impactful. I laughed, cried, and cheered for the characters as they took brave steps toward healing and love. The way the author balances heavy topics with moments of lightheartedness is perfect. This is not just a romance—it's a powerful story about the human condition and the heart's resilience. I couldn't put it down and felt genuinely uplifted by the end. This is a must-read for anyone who loves deeply emotional, beautifully written stories that make you laugh and cry until the last page.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

🧡 S.T.E.M + Billionaire Romance

Gwen, an astrobiologist, and Ty, a CEO, are thrown into the wilderness of Peru on the trip of a lifetime when Ty’s partner Richard dies. It is the adventurous man’s last wish for representatives from every part of his foundation to go on this journey through Peru, but it turns into people trying to ensure Ty will continue funding their research.
This is literally all my favorite things in one book. A S.T.E.M. romance? Check. An enemies-to-lovers story with one tent? Check. Research into the unknown? Check. Mentions of Gigantopithecus? Check. Discussing the Inca? Check.
Everything about this book is great. Gwen and Ty both go on important journeys of self-discovery and acceptance, which is what Richard wanted. It forces them to reconsider their life decisions and move forward in a new direction, even if that might mean letting go of the past in some ways. I always love these arcs in books, and it was done incredibly well here. It’s almost like being out of communication with everyone they know forces some heavy thoughts and feelings to rise to the surface.
I also love how Gwen and Ty are forced to come to terms with their feelings for each other. It’s a ton of hilarious and sudden circumstances that only make sense when you are doing a trip like they are, and it worked every time because the precedent for it was set in the first few chapters. And maybe think twice about the power of suggestion.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2024I guess I like the enemies-to-lovers trope. Lol. Gwen and Type meet-cute is the stuff legends are made of. Baby vomit in the hair and still beautiful?! THAT'S true love!! I wouldn't want to go to a jungle to find the love of my life, but Try and Gwen make it work... Beautifully.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2024I really liked the quite unusual premise. I had never read something exactly like this.
What I didn't like: The two narrators sounded exactly alike. They both had resentment toward their non-supportive parents. They both swore to excess and in exactly the same way.
Also, there was a lot of repetition. For example, "Oh yeah. You shouldn't have done that thing. It never works." That was tiresome
- Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2025If you would enjoy a Romance that fits nicely between Cozy and steamy, with a huge dose of humour tossed in, this book is for you. Some scenes made me laugh out loud, while others brought tears (the good kind). I am looking forward to the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2024The message in this study is perfect and told in a perfect way.
Walking a path of out of the ordinary meets the rigid walks the straight and narrow.
This story has a celebration for believers of the extraordinary and also the trials of wealth.
It sets a mix of people out on a wild adventure in Peru. There are ups and downs and humor and romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favs of the year!
The space between us was so good!!! True to form Melanie had me laughing right from the beginning and I absolutely devoured this book. As a woman in STEM/ Engineering, I love female scientist representation in books and this was such a unique field to represent.
The banter was witty, sexy and sometimes cheesy but I ate it up. A funny combo of enemies to lovers but also sort of insta-love or insta-crush that didn’t bother me, Ty and Gwyn were surprisingly deep characters with deep emotional journeys in the book and I loved learning more about Dr. Napper and his beautiful outlook on life.
Honestly there were so many parts of the book that I highlighted and marked as a favourite and I’ll definitely be re-reading this lighthearted romcom again!
The Space Between Us was a perfect balance of humour, wit and depth and it had me laughing out loud, tearing up, and contemplating my own life decisions and dreams made when I was a lot younger. Throw in some traveling to South America and learning about other cultures and Melanie served up one of my favourite books of the year!

5.0 out of 5 stars Journey of awareness
An absolutely funny heart warming, at time rib tickling, tear jerking storyline experience, that leaves the reader with a lovely cuddly warm feeling too. A delightful HEA, after a journey of awakening about life’s needs rather than compulsive wants. Ty Sterling is a billionaire, financial partner to Dr Richard( Dick) Napper who departs this earth doing one of his dare devil adventures. Ty is left to make many decisions. One of which is to shut down the financial backing of his partner to many foundation trusts that are very alternative and possibly a little bit to out there to be considered a financial cert!!! Before Richards death he was supposed to by Ty out! Ty already wishing to use his money to seek revenge. The wealth of Richards estate is left to his no hope nephew Skip who has no interest to continue any work but spend. On his death Dr Napper selects a send off of 5days in South America, his pre conceived for his employers. Each foundation is to send a representative, Gwendolyn is selected from SETI, and the story begins. The comments between the characters are so witty and in some cases catty. Gwen’s parents, super intelligent, have never been proud of her career, and Gwen has constantly had to justify her being. Both she and Ty have commitments for this journey. Gwen to secure financial backing for her group work, Ty to not do so and continue to look after his autistic younger brother Michael and achieve his own aims. The journey through the jungles and adventures always seem to go amiss, but both Ty and Gwen form a lustful friendship. Till they don’t. A great story with enough said anymore and it would spoil it for the would be reader . A wonderful, well written, and edited story. Great description and other believable side characters, with their own needs brought to light. A very compelling, interesting, romantically entangled and highly entertaining story.
