The Dreammasters (Of Gods and Monsters Book 1) Kindle Edition
Aisling Doyle is sick of secrets. Still aching after her tight-lipped mom’s recent passing, the forty-five-year-old feels lost when her husband leaves her for a younger woman. But after having an angry nightmare where she pushed him down the stairs, she’s horrified to learn he has perished in a hauntingly similar fatal accident.
Worried her disturbing visions from childhood hold twisted power, Aisling flees home to Ireland to dig into her heritage. And when her maternal relatives reveal their bloodline traces back to a powerful Celtic goddess, she fears someone is setting her up for murder.
As she delves into ancient dangers, will she find redemption or become a villain’s sacrifice?
The Dreammasters is the dark first book in the Of Gods and Monsters paranormal women’s fiction series. If you like strong-willed heroines, otherworldly evils, and Irish myths, then you’ll adore KD Pryor’s black-edged fantasy.

About the author

KD Pryor is a writer and world traveler who loves to add elements of her travels into her books. She loves all things mysterious, and ghosts, mythology, paranormal and supernatural elements often find their way into her stories. Some of her favorite things include her family, her cats, a walk in the sun along a quiet country road, a stroll through Galway, Ireland where she always finds the best coffee, great books, a cuddly pair of slippers, and warm wool sweaters. Kelley and her husband currently live in the Phoenix, Arizona area, where her Irish sweaters don't get much use.

Aisling Doyle had confusing dreams as a child that started after she visited Ireland with her mother but they later stopped. However her mother journaled about Aisling's dreams and other secrets she wasn't ready to share.
When Aisling dreams about her mother's murder in an terrifying, unreal place, she wakes to find that her mother was killed. After other horrifying dreams, she knows the only place to get answers about her dreams is to visit Ireland.
This is the first in the series "Of Gods and Monsters" and I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2025KD Pryor has created a world of the unknown, intrigue and adventure for her main character, Aisling. One which will answer questions from her past that her recently departed mother never shared. But why… I don’t know but I’m hooked and need to read the next book!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2024I loved the story. The characters are well developed, and I felt like I was there with them.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2024It starts with the MC's mother's funeral, and it hits all of the emotions you can feel at the death of a loved one. On top of it, she feels her husband pulling away, who then waits all of 3 weeks to tell her he's leaving her since she's 'had enough time' to get over the death.
In a fit of even more grief, and anger, she pushes him down the stairs in a dream, only to wake up to find out he did die at his mistress's house from a fall down the stairs.
This sets her on a quest to find out if the dream she observed when her mother died, and the dream where she killed her husband, are real or just a coincidence from her subconscious.
To find the answer, she has to delve into her mother's past and that requires her to seek her roots in Ireland.
I loved this story. It was lyrical and lovely. The grief feels real and the quirky characters are interesting. Plus, coming to a foreign land, and meeting people that knew your mother, makes it difficult to see all of their motivations.
Aisling must find the someone or something that is messing with her dreams. Dreams she as a descendant of Caer should be able to control. And those dreams are turning deadly.
This is your next PWF must read. It's unique, magical, and has a dark spooky edge. I highly recommend!
