- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2024"Todd the Frog is So Bossy: A Story about Friendship". Todd was so excited about the upcoming outing with his friends. They were all going to meet at their favorite picnic spot near the pond. Each friend was going to bring something to eat and pick a game to play. But as soon as everyone had arrived Todd started telling everyone what to do. He didn't listen to any suggestions and his friends soon became grumpy.
It quickly became evident as to what the problem was and it is an age old problem. It's one thing to be a leader and another to just be bossy. Even though Todd had good intentions and wanted to have the best picnic, he forgot about his friends and their feelings. Todd forgot to listen and to share ideas. Eventually the group of friends worked out the uncomfortable situation and it appears that Todd learned a lesson.
I really liked the important message in this book and respect the friends for how they worked the problem out. It is also really important that Todd did apologize to his friends. The illustrations did have lovely colors and good visual appeal, but did not always represent what was going on in the story and I thought the words were too small for comfortable reading. All-in-all this was a nice story with a message for children and I would recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2024It is a nice short story that teaches the importance of not only expressing oneself but, as importantly, listening to others. Todd the Frog was really bossy, and the way the story is told really brings that home, along with the effect his bossiness had on his friends. Fortunately, by the end of the story, Todd was confronted by his friends and able to take in their feedback, even though it was painful. But, his friends express their love of him and accept him back into the group while continuing to challenge him when he started to fall back into his bossy ways. Good lesson that young kids will be able to take in.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2024Todd the frog was a bossy little guy with his friends. He thought he was helping everyone have fun by controlling the picnic, but they weren't having fun being bossed around. Todd learned a valuable lesson. This was a cute book with a fun story and a lesson within.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2024I was looking for a new book for a friend who has a 5-year-old and found this book. The message is great and something that kids need to learn as early in life as possible: listen first! Pay attention to your friends. Pay attention to the reactions of people around you when you say things. Be respectful. It's all in there. And the illustrations of the bossy Todd and his turtle and rabbit and other friends are all really nicely done. It's a great quick read for bedtime or anytime. Grab a copy for your child!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2024Todd the Frog is So Bossy is a great boom read with your child if you have one that struggles with being bossy. My daughter loves to boss her little brother around. But reading this book with her and talking about it allowed her to be self reflective and I believe she will be better with it going forward. It is well written and the illustrations are well done. I would recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2024What a fun book. Children will love the graphics and all the animals. The frog is bossy, bossy, bossy, and causes quit a stir with the animals. Todd learns his lesson when there is no one left to boss around. A fun read and a good lesson to learn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Message In The Story
I really enjoyed reading this story to my son, and with the underlying message about being bossy and wanting your own way led to a good discussion with him on why we all need to take into account other people's feelings and wants. The illustrations are a little mixed in style and not much variation, but don't let that put you off I enjoyed it and my son loved looking at the illustrations. He wants to read it again tonight...

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice story for children
The story is about Todd the frog who goes on a picnic with his friends. The plan was to have a happy get-together among friends, but it didn't turn out to be so magical for the friends due to their bossy, commanding behavior. The story is done quite nicely. As such, the images are beautifully designed. However, I would have preferred hand-painted pictures. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth reading for children.
