Unearthing The Truth: An Amelia Watson Mini Mystery Kindle Edition
An Amelia Watson mini mystery
Amelia Watson loves to solve mysteries and hates it when she's unable to dig up the answers. That latter's been the case recently, so it might be better if she didn't try at all. That way she'd avoid the embarrassment of calling out the police when no crime had been committed. But a man carried... OK, probably not the dead body it looked like, but definitely something, into the woods. His excuse for being there was a lie. It can't really hurt to take her dog Bongo for another walk there and take a look – can it?

About the author

Patsy Collins spends her time making things up and writing them down from her home in Lee-on-the-Solent or whilst traveling in a campervan. At home she gardens, bakes (and then eats) cakes. She's the author of over 30 books.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024This is a first for me. A short mystery story where the first mystery that dear Amelia tried to solve backfires. But perseverance gave her the perfect insight on solving the next one. A charming mini intro this author's book starring who else but Amelia herself.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2023A lovely fun little tale! Nice twist. When I got really into it, the pace quickened and greatly peaked my interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars A quick read with a cup of tea
Enjoyable fun filled short story ideal if you’re looking for a quick read with a cup of tea. I managed to earn myself an unexpected Bookish achievement for reading this. Amateur sleuth Amelia’s imagination runs riot as she suspects everyone is a criminal until proven otherwise. Nice little twist at the end of this short story too.

5.0 out of 5 stars True cosy crime!
Patsy has lovely way of telling a story and bringing us relatable characters. Amelia is a super sleuth, she thinks, although Sue Morgan, her police friend, has different ideas. Still, Amelia likes to help out… insists, even, and maybe she’s a bit inquisitive…? Sometimes, a bit too inquisitive for her own good. This short story sees Amelia trying to make amends from one too many good deeds that went south with her neighbour by taking on yet another crime to solve. She knows what she is seeing and hearing must be wrong… so she has to investigate.
Patsy’s humour permeates her writing, mainly in the dialogue between Amelia and her friend Nicole.
I’m looking forward to more of Amelia’s adventures… assuming she can’t stay out of trouble for too long…
