Energy Shocks was written to provide a straightforward understanding of how energy and carbon dioxide work, to dispel the misrepresentations of the climate alarmism and green energy transition agendas and to provide context to appreciate how energy and carbon dioxide relate to other key issues that affect our world.

Each of the three sections within
Energy Shocks can be considered to be an independent book, and can be read as such. The first section focuses on energy. The second section focuses on science. The third section focuses on controversial political, economic and societal themes that i) contradict the mainstream narratives of recent decades, and that ii) are sure to become the dominant narratives over the decades ahead as truth displaces deceit on matters of energy and climate.

The conclusion of the first section of
Energy Shocks is that there is no green energy transition: Without fossil fuels, namely, coal, oil and natural gas, the human population of 8.2 billion would precipitously perish, mainly through starvation.

In the second section,
Energy Shocks makes the point that the most important discoveries ever made relating to carbon dioxide were not made by John Tyndall in 1859 when he determined that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas: The most important discoveries ever made relating to carbon dioxide were made between 2016 and 2019. For reference, satellites have only recently been in orbit long enough to provide us with the shocking realities of how our Earth is actually changing over the decades due to increased concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the consumption of fossil fuels. Specifically, in 2016, a team of thirty-two scientists from globally recognized institutions discovered that increasing the concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the most significant driver of increased plant growth on our Earth. In 2018, a team of seven scientists, including several from NASA itself, published a report, based on satellite data, indicating that “contrary to the prevailing view” forests are growing (net of losses) at a staggering rate of 2.0% per decade. In 2019, a team of fifteen scientists from globally recognized institutions determined, based on observations from NASA’s Terra satellite, that the green leaf covered area of the Earth is increasing at a staggering rate of 2.3% per decade. The second section of Energy Shocks concludes, based on a growing body of evidence, that carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere directly regulate the amount the vegetation – life – on Earth.

The third section of
Energy Shocks consists of twenty independent themes that give context to understand energy, carbon dioxide, global warming and the energy transition.

The essential concluding point is that when understood as a whole, the climate alarmism and the energy transition agendas are not only futile, but sinister and deceitful.
Energy Shocks argues that the real underlying intention of the climate alarmism and the energy transition agendas is to subvert the essential beliefs and values of Western Civilization. In that vein, it is notable that after decades of painstaking advances to manipulate our beliefs and values through the climate alarmism and the green energy agendas, in 2024, Justin Welby, head of the Church of England, announced the ultimate perversion of Western values and beliefs by declaring outright that “God is green”. His statement will represent the apogee of the predatory social and political agenda to promote climate alarmism and the energy transition – an agenda that is now, inevitably and necessarily, collapsing faster than a house of cards.

Energy Shocks was also written to provide an understanding of the extraordinary capacity for energy to make our world a better place if we have the freedom to unleash its full potential.

This is an eye opening, honest evaluation of the importance of petroleum and its by products juxtaposed against the political transition to alternative forms of energy. Seldom do you find an book of such indepth research on the topic. Accolades to the author for such a common sense evaluation of energy and how it impacts our world.

    5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful, Eye-Opening Book That Challenges the Narrative – A Must-Read!

Energy Shocks is one of the most thought-provoking and well-researched books I’ve read in a long time. It boldly challenges the mainstream climate and energy narratives with clarity, evidence, and courage. This book doesn’t just skim the surface — it dives deep into the facts behind energy, carbon dioxide, and their real roles in our world.

Each section feels like its own book, and each one delivers. The first section breaks down the critical role fossil fuels play in sustaining human life, and does so in a way that’s both logical and hard to refute. The second section completely changed the way I view carbon dioxide. The satellite data and scientific studies cited — including findings from NASA — are nothing short of fascinating. The evidence showing Earth’s increasing greenness and the vital role of CO₂ in supporting life is something you’ll never hear in the media, and it’s presented here in a way that’s accessible to everyone.

The third section is where things get even more compelling. It explores how energy and climate policies tie into deeper political and societal shifts. The author doesn’t shy away from controversial issues, and I deeply respect the honesty and conviction throughout. Whether you agree with every argument or not, you’ll come away better informed — and likely questioning many of the things we’ve been told for decades.

Energy Shocks is a bold, enlightening, and ultimately empowering read. It cuts through the noise and delivers the kind of perspective we desperately need right now. If you value truth, critical thinking, and the freedom to question popular agendas, this book is for you.

This is a fantastic book on the troubles with our modern civilization's energy systems. It's well written, not too dense, and filled with excellent explanations that you don't need to be an expert to understand.
