    Vaporbyte, Cat Connor’s final FBI procedural in the Byte series, promises to be the first post-COVID-19 thriller. The fast action novel takes off after the 11th story of Qubyte, Qu being a deadly pathogen. Now there is something even more deadly and this genetically advanced bio-weapon is about to be released on the world, healing from the last pandemic. But have no fear FBI agent Ellie Iverson and her Delta teams track down the conspirators from Washington D.C. to Cat Connor’s own backyard just outside Wellington for an explosive climax.

    Dialogue propels the action and the healthy teasing and joking from Iverson’s Delta teams makes the characters more realistic and likeable. Iverson has a rare psychic ability that she grapples with and readers become more used to her visions as the story progresses. It’s a fun read and a worthwhile ending to a compulsively entertaining series.

    I have just one question, who is going to clear up the mess in New Zealand at the end? I can hear the politicians blaming each other or taking credit.

    If I could give a book more than 5 * it would be this one. Wow just wow. So many twists and turns in the plot. I have been unable to put this down since I started reading. Well done Cat!
